It is completely false to say no progress has been made in discovering how life began. The Miller-Urey experiment showed how amino acids (the building blocks of life) could be generated by passing an electric current through a mixture of methane, ammonia, hydrogen, and water. Amino acids have been found in Martian meteorites that hit the Earth. Magnetite can be used to make precursors of RNA. The ways inorganic matter can be turned into organic matter goes on and on. Yes, it isn’t known what turned those amino acids and RNA precursors into life, but it’s totally disingenuous to say no progress has been made. Also, to make claims like it will never be known is ridiculous and shows how biased and unscientific the speaker is.

Yes i agree that science doesnt know about origins of universe but that doesnt mean u would go to an intelligent creator unless you get more verfiable evidence. Nothing can "refute" atheism. It is not a dogma or a doctrine or a religious belief. It is simply a lack of belief in any god, because of a lack of any compelling evidence.

John, science is still young. Scientists took some time to find out that the earth was round n not the centre of the solar system unlike you bible believers.

OK, so how does God know how to assemble molecules? How was god created? Maybe it’s just in the nature of the universe that we just like the universe evolve. I have listened to John Lennox many times seems like a good guy, but he has the IQ in this region of physics of the nine-year-olds who wrote the Bible. Just because we don’t understand how things work doesn’t mean a god did it. it’s always the God of the gaps theory.

We have zero evidence of any gods we have 100% evidence man has created gods.

We see more and and more that people hope to prove the existence of God scientifically. This will seemingly be a force that created the universe. It will have no connection to any god from human history. Science will not confirm that there is a God that is torturing billions of people forever. I mention this god first because it is mostly Christians claiming to find god in science. But will they give up their god for the true God.
Humans have always demanded evil gods to rule over them. The original gods on every continent were gods of human sacrifice. Christianity is founded upon the idea that their god sacrificed his son to a powerful God (unnamed) who could give God's followers life after death.
But all the gods ever conceived will be cast into the garbage bin of history. I don't believe humans will abandon their abhorrent gods for a proven divinity. Deists will be the victors, the ten or fifteen remaining.
