Ubisoft is ditching their season pass bs for AC shadows? damn, color me surprised cause knowing Ubisoft and their anti consumer practices over the years, I severely doubted they would get rid of early access and season pass pre order incentives, let alone give it all away for free (albeit only if the game is pre ordered). However, I still think that’s not reason enough to fully trust Ubi to not do things like, price the game arbitrarily to compensate for the sp included with a early buy, put in a several layered shit drm sandwich (not including steam) in the game, or maybe bugs and optimization issues that have gone unfixed cause the devs were rushed to release the game for maximum sales

This game is going to flop so hard and they know it. Probably pushing the release date so the rest of their investors don't immediately dump the stock when it does fail. I'm also wondering if they will change the story up a bit, the amount of backlash they're facing in Japan is pretty crazy. I saw a petition with over 100k signatures.

I feel the same way with the age thing but when it comes to it openly talking about it makes a difference especially when able to express our opinions, and let big companies hear about it keep on reviewing man!

If Ubisoft understood how great Origins and Odyssey were, then they should make sure Shadows was on par with them - INCLUDING ACHIEVEMENTS ON STEAM.

If this game flops sales wise Ubisoft surely is done? I can’t see them staying a round with 20k employees after all the flops they’ve had the past few years like skull and bones, Avatar and Star Wars. Siege is the only thing that makes them money and I doubt that’s enough to keep them afloat.

So wait you have to log in to Steam... then log into Ubisoft to even play the game at all? Go to past Ubisoft Steam games, and read the reviews from past Ubisoft game titles. History repeating itself yet again for how many times over? When will humans learn? NEVER!.

This just popped up and I normally do not follow a lot of developer news and whether the overall fan base is happy with or not and basically have played no recent Ubisoft releases.
But I have recently decided I wanted to revisit some of the older Assassins Creed titles I played years ago on the PS platform when they initially released on the PC .

99% of my game Library is on Steam and occasionally when something is either not available on Steam or priced much cheaper on other sites I will buy elsewhere.

I just had checked on Steam for the Assassins Black Flag gold edition game and it was priced at $39.99, the same gold edition was priced elsewhere with a Ubisoft+ download at under $12.
I realize you can wait around and see if it goes on sale sometime in the future on Steam but I bought it now and it was a pain-free download process and launches just fine using the Ubisoft launcher.

All I am saying is sometimes having more options is not bad on one's wallet and although I did want to revisit the game I would not have done so at a $40 price tag.

I have bought other early release Assassin Creed titles on the Steam site that were appropriately priced for the age of the game but Steam was a whole lot higher than other popular game sites or Ubisoft on the Black flag bundle for some reason.

Just pirate every ubisoft game if you wanna play it. It's free 🤣

One thing i like about epic is that you buy a game from there after that you never have to open epic again for that game.. but with steam you have to keep both launchers running..

All they have to do is remove Yasuke as an MC ... make him a support character in the world(NPC,Quest giver) and give us an actual local Japanese person(Male) who isn't dark of color.... i don't care if they delay it further than Q1 of 2025 even.... just make it happen!.... This isn't a racist comment.... it's being respectful to the local population.... i bet nobody would be that much happier if there was a game set in Africa and you play as some white bloke... I don't even care if he is also bisexual.... Alexios/Kassandra & Eivor were also given that option, which expresses freedom of play.
Still going to buy it anyway since there are really no Open World games set in Japan and I have played every major release of AC and am not about to stop now.
