Exercise should help mitigate glucose spike and use honey instead of sugar.

I started having slurred speech this spring and wasn't sure what was going on. MRI ruled out anything that would cause it, as well as the ct scan. I did some editing in my diet to test various theories and caffeine seems to be the culprit. I am not sure if this is something that's documented anywhere but it sucks. lol I can live without it but I miss my morning coffee.

Can you please comment on the effect of 10%, 18%, 35% cream in your coffee has as opposed to milk. I had heard 35%.(whipping cream.) causes the smallest spike. Thanks

I've lost 250 lbs and reversed all of my many metabolic issues. Black coffiee doesn't spike your insulin, in other words it doesn't raise your glucose. But the milk, sugar in your coffee and toast for breakfast will spike your insulin/raise your glucose. If you want to keep your glucose at a normal level, keep the coffee, get rid of the milk, sugar and bread/toast.

neat video. i’d like to see a glucose time series with a whole (in terms of having 3.5% fat) oat milk. because that’s a new trend which might be closer to nut milks. around 3-4g of carbs per 100ml and 3.5g of fat.

Coffee opens up your blood vessels and you don't put anything in it. When you add sugar, milk, cream, honey or anything else it takes away the health benefits. Two cups in the morning is plenty.

Coffee is a super beneficial for blood type A's not the other blood type though. If you feel the effects of coffee consumption even into the late hours you are a slow acetylator ( your liver takes longer to deal with caffeine ).

All the milk alternatives are just ploys by food companies so they can sell you cheap chemical garbage instead of real (more expensive for them) food . Oatmilk, almond milk, Coffee mate; don't use them!

You've missed the best options: butter + coconut oil - either one or the other or both = bullet proof coffee. Black coffee makes me feel hungry, so bullet proof coffee is the best for when I'm not eating breakfast. I tried various 'milk alternatives' like oat milk, almond milk etc until I read the ingredients: sugar and palm oil and all sorts of nasty stuff! If you're buying anything manufactured always read the label.
