and just incase someone doesnt know
allan holdsworth with tony williams is incredible
No wonder he is up there with the greats. He is one himself…Jordan Rudess
ОтветитьOMG, Darkness! I love that song, wore out my album listening to it over and over. Jan played drums on the track, and that just blew me away. I was a drummer, so just now discovering this version live with Tony Freaking Williams is... heaven!
ОтветитьJan Hammer, pitch bend master, on keytar! With the great Tony Williams. I think we can call this band a "Supergroup". Thanks for posting this great show!
ОтветитьGrunge era jazz... nice!
ОтветитьTo the person who answered my question, THANK YOU!! Bloody Shame!! Betcha Jan has "some" recordings. We"ll never know. 😔 Thank You for this YT concert.
ОтветитьThis is awesome! I'm so glad I found this. Vice forever!
Ответитьholy shit this is great stuff...go tony go...mr fusion!! rip
Ответить🤙🏼
ОтветитьSTUNNED 😧🥹😳
ОтветитьIncreíble batero Tony y todos los demás también el tecladista de dreams un grosoooo.
ОтветитьI was always a fan of Jan Hammer & Tony Williams
ОтветитьCrocketts theme, on of my all time fav tunes. Emotion in music.
ОтветитьIntense 🙏
ОтветитьIs that jordan rudess of dream theater? Wow, i didnt know he played with willians band
ОтветитьIt's odd to see Jordan Rudess with hair
ОтветитьQue grupazo
ОтветитьJan Hammer is undoubtedly a great player but his fake guitar solo style really rubs me the wrong way. Except one or two spots he pretty much ruined Wired for me, the tracks he was on, especially with Jeff Beck playing as he did. Came for Tony Williams basically.
Ответитьi’ve been a huge fan since Jan first appeared, bought every album he was on. I think he’s the greatest lead mini moog player ever. Something is missing here — his leads and bends are good but not lighting quick and otherworldly as he was in the Oh Yeah period. The moog/SEM combo is missed, the sound is more guitar like and IMO not as compelling. Around 1976, absolutely no one could touch Jan, but here he almost gets cheesy trying to be a guitarist. Also miss his great distorted Rhodes playing, he was a tremendous rhythm section player
Ответитьwell looky there
A young Jorden Rudess with hair
jordan se corto el pelo y se la puso en la pera
ОтветитьWas this recorded on Halloween night? Absolute MONSTERS!
ОтветитьI saw clips of this show before. Somehow I didn't realise that was Rudess & Saunders on stage. I like a lot of Hammer's stuff & often thought of Rudess as someone who sounded a bit Hammer inspired even I I don't care for his stuff. Funny to see them playing together (I never knew their paths crossed). Were it not for Hammer's usual frown, one might think he's thinking: I'd like to be standing in front of those keyboards instead of being here with the keytar. Releasing a cd of this show would seem a good idea, and it may well be that they played more numbers than just these. Saunders was in the original Jan Hammer Group c.1976.
ОтветитьUna verdadera joyita esta actuación⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
ОтветитьHuh, Didn't expect to see the dude from Dream Theater in the lineup!
ОтветитьA tribute to jeff Beck to day!
Ответитьwow- such an amazing opportunity to have two absolute Masters of their instruments: Tony and Jan with superb support players Saunders and Rudess (!) giving us live performances of works our reference for might only be LPs ... I would've loved to see Tony add his power to such odd-meter Jan tunes as "Magical Dog" and "Twenty One"
ОтветитьNice how they did "Light/Sun" from Hammer's "The First Seven Days," which IMHO is a great album.
ОтветитьI saw Lifetime (Williams, Bruce, McLaughlin, Young) in 1970.
I wish I'd paid more attention to what was going on at the time.
Jan knows how to write a tune. 'Beyond The Minds Eye' if you're not familiar, is highly recommended.
ОтветитьDuncan MacLeod then went to be the only one ... keyboardist on Drum Theater.
ОтветитьSteve Ballmer plays keyboard? I like it!
ОтветитьToday Jan Hammer wouldn't be allowed on stage unless he shaved his head bald.
ОтветитьGreat, fantastic: love Jan Hammer with this band! Don’t forget his collaborations with Jeff Beck and Neal Schon!!!
ОтветитьAlthough I love Tony historically, his drumming is so overly busy this night and his timing is often off that it detracts from the rest of the band. Jan is of course superb as always.
ОтветитьJordan Rudess of Dream Theater? Crazy
ОтветитьThis is amazing ~ thank you so much for uploading 🙏
ОтветитьNon merci - Go home
ОтветитьJust think what would he could do sitting down rather than standing
ОтветитьSaunders' bass tone is amazing in this. Sits perfectly in the scheme.
ОтветитьOMG!! What a terrific post, so glad I found it. The groove so massive you could drive a Belaz 75710 mega truck through it!!
ОтветитьThe synth guitar sounds a bit wack now but it is still great playing overall.
ОтветитьHorrible digital keyboards. And as for the drummer. A study in how to overplay. I bet he will not go anywhere.
ОтветитьTony Williams style, my favorite
ОтветитьNice to see Tony's toms mounted at a steep angle. I get so tired of being told that 'pro' drummers mount their toms low and almost flat (and play trad-grip) - and that anybody who doesn't is a noob, a loser, a wannabe without either experience or talent -
Just play whatever works for YOU.
You show 'em how it's done, T-Man! 😁
Fabulous memory concert ! TRIBUTE TO TONY WILLIAMS ! One of the greatest drummers of all time! And JAN HAMMER SO ORIGINAL! THANK YOU JARREP MUSIC !
