Let's get this straight: a central banker enters politics without ever having held a seat in parliament, while every news organization focuses solely on this "central banker" as the Liberal party's lead candidate. Fast forward to election night, where the opposition leader is battling against 80 other candidates in a riding that had been completely redrawn to favor the Liberals. To make matters worse, all the news networks prematurely called the election hours before all the votes were counted. Now, a month later, we're discovering that the results from many ridings are incorrect. This looks like a clear setup, and I no longer have faith in elections.

I've always liked the monarchy, but it really is a bit of a relic. They don't actually do anything for us the people. They do get around the UK a lot; providing assistance to various charities. The royal foundation has initiated a lot of mental health charities and they support them. But not us. I don't think we have one charity that is supported by any member of the royal family. We don't benefit at all. It's time we had a president and a 2 party system . Out with the PM and the GG.
