One time I was in this trench thing at a beach, and had a stream leading out to the lake. A lot of times people build a dam out of rocks or mud, and drains the other side. I was trying to catch small fish for my pet bass and rescued a baby bullhead catfish from the drained out part of the stream. I decided to keep him, but had to put him in my community tank and not my wildlife tank because I have no doubt that my bass would try to eat him even with plenty of hiding places. He’s about a half inch long. On top of that catfish, I later caught a whole bunch of baby carp, crucian goldfish, shiners, crawdads, and a baby perch. I decided to keep the perch to put in my community tank, but when I caught it eating my threadfin rainbowfish, it was out of there as soon as it attacked him, and was given the death penalty and I fed him to my bass. No regrets.
