You and some of the other knifetube community should do a series about the soul of knifes. There is something about a knife that has a good “feel”/soul that you cant always put into everything even if it is a
“flawless“ knife. Sometimes the “perfect “ knifes seem too sterile. I was thinking about stuff like victorinox not even close to perfect but we all love them. Or how ugly Spyderco is yet we can’t put them down.

I almost pulled the trigger on this one... Decided I don't like that "detent" which is more like an assisted opener in practice. That and the $950 price tag.

The Kershaw Induction (no longer in production) used the same lock. It's the best budget knife Kershaw has ever made.

The Serge Rook and now the Hawk Talon are 2 of the coolest knives available imo. I'd really like to get my hands on one eventually

They send the tool with the knife like the Shortcut, and they loctite the pivot from the factory so you don't have to adjust it.

An extremely good sword, maybe. But a pocket knife? I'm just saying this because if I buy anything I'm going to use it. It makes no sense to just view a blade of any sort. It MUST be used. What kind of man has a blade but doesn't use it? I must say that this is definitely getting out of hand with the price and collective. Use your blades. They are not meant to be show pieces. It doesn't cost that much for these companies to make them so stop paying ignorant amounts of money for them otherwise they will keep charging more for them. I like the clip design. My EDC’s usually find their clips being stretched a bit as my work pant pockets are thicker than my other pants. If I try to use my work knife in non work pants, the clip doesn’t hold as well. This design circumvents that issue. I like it

I’ve been collecting knives for about 6 years now. And by now I have narrowed it down to USA made knives only. If it’s not made in America, I’m not interested. Or at the very least made anywhere else but China. I’m good on the chineesium. So instead of buying several knives around $100-$200 per year, I will just get 1 maybe 2 American knives even if they are $900.

To answer the hardening / heat treat question, Gavin stated in the comments section on his video that the M390 is treated to 62-63 HRC.

It doesn't look impressive enough to stick up a liquor store or gas station. I'd need some way to get a return on a ridiculously overpriced knife. 😢

I get your knife Christmas morn…To cope with that I bought a PMP Spartan XL and a Baby Banter Warn and Tenible Rafe Begg Slip joint, Wukkos Flashlight..Sanuk shoes..All this week…Where I’ll have stuff with Coffee to open after putting in the day…for this week. And I still have around 450$ change left for later in the month..Like that Burlap Shaman and a Toor fighter. And that’s where I’m at. Like to get laid a few times a week instead of a big production. I should make Sara join me in a knife channel for 3 years being sweet. A couple of lives a week. Wait for the next Trump Pandemic..and maybe with a lot of luck.l.i can get a few pkg.
