I really agree with what you said at the start, about players playing this game in a rush. Trying to get to the win and move on. But when you actually tighten up defensively and slow the game down, they start showing their ass lol. Its so much more fun actually enjoying the match than just desperately scraping to get to the win screen.

Someone said it best. Dj may have bad pokes but he forces both players to risk there lives, and that's the problem. This makes it feel like he's always in the lead till he's dead. Also ask the crazy murry level gimmick shit because he cant play solid tekken(to clarify i mean murry can't play, electric is still being hunted down for kicking out all the lights in the arcade with U4). I can't exsplain any other way i do better against god rank lings than devil jins.

I don’t understand how a character with the best move in the game is Low tier . Simple. He’s not. Devil Jin’s not and since people never talk about what he’s got that’s going for him, I will.

1. He’s got an electric
2. His oki games disgusting ( use back 3)
3. Good 50/50 mix up game
4. Super good heat . It has a lot of range .
5. Good punish game
6. He force whiff punishes with Amara (during fly)
7. Homing gaurd break ..
8. He’s full of gimmicks at an intermediate level

And that’s not everything but that’s a good start .

The bad thing about him is he’s a lil bit harder to use then other characters ( but not as hard as people make him sound) and his sweep is little bit lackluster on its reach .

His sidestep 2 is also punishable …

Other than that …. He’s entirely fair. He’s so far being the being the worst in the game. I’d say there’s about 10 characters worse than Devil Jin. Worst in the game? Have you even tried panda?

Also of the most annoying characters have the most punishable moves in the game…. But not devil Jin. All of pandas launchers are almost all punishable . That’s what a bottom character looks like, not devil Jin.

You can duck df12 but I get it no one plays this bumass character

As someone who has known “StillElectric” for almost 30 years.

I also been playing vs him
since1996 tekken 2! He got really good from ttt 1, he’s played vs many of the guys from New York back then.

Guys like “TheRealyst”, “BringDaRuckus”, “Secret”, “KingMitsu” and a few others I can’t remember at the moment.
These guys are old school Tekken legends we used to have Tekken tournaments at M.I.T and Umass. We sometimes had overnight casuals at our homes when those guys visited or stayed in Boston!

Back then StillElectric was a lil kid hungry coming up, he learned fast. So as someone who played a part in his tekken journey.

His Devil Jin, was given a set portion of tools and he has to find a way to use those tools!



I can 100% attest that there’s nothing “random” in the way he plays.
What he did is calculated and not on autopilot, in fact he was the pilot of that flight.

Let it be known that I hate tekken 8, but what I saw with my own eyes were instances where he side walked Lee and whiff punished him, simple as that !

I used to be a tekken forum moderator back on the on TekkenZaibatsu dot com days.

I am very aware of who Mr GM is, an exceptional Lee specialist and player! I respect his game enough to become a subscriber and enjoy his matches.

I am by no means as good as he is and by no means claiming to ever be!

But I do know little something about tekken and humility!

"Nobody plays solid with him" the literal pioneer of devil jin , qudans, is playing like a psycho with this character . And he is known for being defensive. The character FORCES you to play this way.

devil jin players go crazy because of recoverable health. Almost all his damage is chip or launch, so he can’t afford to sit back and let you take your turn. So devil jin players swing for the fence and make you respect stupid options to keep that damage. Even if a dvj player dies for it once, making you respect it is a trade he has to take. Like it or not, some level of nuttiness is optimal
