Really good educational videos man. It's really important that information and education about golf comes to us golfers from a very reliable source like you Trottie so we can all pass it on to new players and kids growing into golf. There is so much disinformation out there and golf can be difficult as it is...great advice. Thanks.
ОтветитьJust got a new Cleveland HB Soft and I really am enjoying this putter. My eyesight is not what it once was, so this putter lines up so easily I can't believe it! Feels right in my hands when it swings!
ОтветитьThe average golfer cant hit the middle of their putter two holes together on a long putt so the actual putter should be the least of their worries. They would be far better investing the cash in putting lessons instead of an army of different putters. lol.
ОтветитьI've used blades, double wide blade, half mallet, fanged, mallet. I really like my half mallet V-foil 002 putter, I putt with the most confidence and I'm an ace at long putts. Give me a 4 foot putt I'll pussy out the stroke lol
ОтветитьSemi-mallet for me. Tried mallet - didn’t work all that well, and I’ve never been confident looking down at a blade.
ОтветитьBlade works better 👍
ОтветитьYou don’t even know what a blade putter is. The Ping Anser style does not even come close.
ОтветитьI have and will always use a blade. No excuses, if you miss it's on you. I also find it a lot easier to gauge my weights with a blade.
ОтветитьGreat explanation on what’s what for putters 👍🏻👍🏻 I’ve been flipping between a mallet & blade and don’t think I’m mental anymore. Cheers
ОтветитьGot a spider but thinking I need to go back to a blade
ОтветитьWhat shoes is Trottie wearing?
ОтветитьIronically I see a lot of the pros and cons you describe when I test - eg mallet more forgiving, better distance control, alignment
But…despite trying many mallets - I always come back to the blade….simply because I make more putts - I feel I align better, can hit breaking putts better, hit different length putts better including off fringe or fairway and just generally more confident and gain more feel which drives the confidence higher - so unlike ALOT of other areas in golf - putting is a feel and confidence thing - caveat that I consider myself a good putter and really that’s the most telling trend I see - the best putters seem to prominently use blades (Tiger, Speith, Faxon, etc) and lots of great golfers (ball strikers) who are mediocre putters (Scheffler, Rahm, DJ) tend to use mallets
Having been fitted for all of my clubs the putter is by far the fitting I have valued the most, nice video
ОтветитьI went from a mallet with a solid single line to a blade with a solid single line and instantly became a way better putter. The alignment improved dramatically and my ability to understand how much touch and power was required improved dramatically. It’s funny tho because I feel like most of the time it’s the other way around.
ОтветитьPicked up a hydroblast short slant mainly because I realized how much the TruePath alignment was aiding in my putting after going away from my copper Spyder X
ОтветитьI always have 2 putters in rotation a mallet and blade for me it's the bend and feel. Ps the old school spider is by far the best putter I've ever rolled and you can customize how ever you want for under 300 bucks. Another thing I never expected but after a long time playing the ball really makes a difference in how a putter feels.
ОтветитьGet fitted play that. Save u watching
ОтветитьI switched to a bullseye putter this year. I wish the big golf brands would bring those back.
ОтветитьStruggling with the mallet .... should I go blade
ОтветитьIf you want the best performace, always the most forgiving putter, the rest is just mental gymnastics.
ОтветитьLAB till I die. Can't ever go back
ОтветитьGolfing for 20+ years, been using blade all the way…putting is all about feel…blade is the best feel at impact when comes to putting…
ОтветитьYou're never going to have consistency if you're constantly switching putters. Find something you like and stick with it. Obviously you have to like how it rolls the ball but I think it has more to do with length and if you can stand to look at it. Let's be honest here, putter technology doesn't change no matter how much they want us to think it does. If it ain't broke dont fix it, of you're rolling in putts with a $20 putter from Walmart why drop 3 bills on a Scotty.
ОтветитьMallet putter I still use my Wilson tpa putter it the feel and weight n golf it's all about feel
ОтветитьLove these videos!
ОтветитьI was watching all your other putting videos before this trying to work this out. Thank you legend
ОтветитьJust get one of each 😅
ОтветитьTrottie putting lesson and I’ve carded less than 30 putts the last 3 rounds!
ОтветитьIs the Spider FCG the best of both worlds?
ОтветитьTrottie...quality information as always mate.
ОтветитьAnother banger by trottie
ОтветитьCenter shaft vs hosel connected putters make a huge difference p, even if both are face balanced
ОтветитьAnswer: what fills you with the most confidence… putting is primarily a confidence skill. If you lack confidence your putting will lack regardless of equipment.
ОтветитьI maybe 3 putt once in a round with a odyssey 100$ mallet so that's good enough for me now...
I did try 500$ blade putters and it's very different indeed.
Getting properly fitted is more important than choosing a blade or mallet
ОтветитьGreat info and advice on what we should be looking for in a putter and why.
The putter fittings have come a long way and I just had one done for my new TM Spider tour. I recommend doing a putter fitting. You find out a lot with the fitting and now I see the benefits. My alignment is so much better and I find myself with more consistency and confidence on the putting green.
Thanks Trottie
nice another TM commercial
ОтветитьKeep posting love it
Ответить7am gettin my trottie on! gonna be a good day!
