I sprinkle 1/8 teaspoon on their food 3 times per day, but I'll up that dose to 1/4 teaspoon per 20lbs as they both weigh close to 70lbs so i could just do teaspoon twice daily.

But i sprinkle it on their dry food, but they also get 1200mg of Omega-3 fish oil with each meal, will that count as fat ?

Sometimes I add coconut organic oil or I add some virgin olive oil.

My 53kg Bullmastiff had a leg injury, and Golden Paste was a blessing, but someone worried me, stating does it hurt her stomach? so I switched to organic rosehip powder I buy online. 2 yrs on, and she doesn't need it anymore. She just turned 9 and runs around like a puppy. However. It's spring here in Australia (the worst allergic place on the globe). Now she has breathing issues, but I told her, "I'll heal her, and I will.

Thank You Dr. Jones

Just ordered some for myself today for pain from fibromyalgia. Had been taking Diclofenac and over the counter meds like Ibuprofen, Excedrine and others. But my doctor yesterday said that my kidney numbers were dropping slightly below 60 (58), and that is the cutoff for healthy kidneys. She said NSAIDs and Diclofenac could be the cause of it. Loss of kidney function is seen a lot in older folks, and I'm not young anymore. I don't take them every day, but apparently once a day is too much. So I ordered this. I took some turmeric last night and slept through the night without pain. Woke up early this morning and was not having any pain to speak of. I took one with my coffee, and tonight I will take another one. The first time I tried turmeric it didn't seem to work, so stopped, but this time seems different. Not going back to NSAIDs. I want to outlive my kidneys. I love this vet. His recommendations are priceless.

What is the dosage in mg for dogs? I got some high quality turmeric Supplement with Black Pepper for myself and started giving to my 12 years old dog but she had a terrible diarrhea and vomiting... I felt so bad for her... :( I think I gave her too much. The dosage for an adult in the bottle says 2 capsules daily ( 1200 mg) I gave her 1/2 pill ( 300 mg maybe a little bit more) She limps all the time, she is a bit overweight..I cook for her and give dry food that in my country is one of the best.. Please, someone can help me about dosage in mg for her? I'm afraid to start giving her again .. Thanks for any advice .

Thank you Dr Jones!
I’ve a quick question. I’ve a 106 lb Doberman mix who’s terrified of going to the vet. He had bad experience because he had been attacked by roommate’s German Shepherd and the wound was significant. He required major surgery, had Penrose drains that 1/2 removed at vet office and I had to remove the rest at home as he absolutely wouldn’t let anyone else touch him at the vet’s office. He had to have a month’s worth of antibiotics. I made sure he was well medicated for pain with NSAIDS/gabapentin. Despite everything it still took 7 months for everything to completely heal 100% as he’d had a lot of internal muscle/fascia damage. Hence he has a lot of bad associations with the vet.
He had developed a growth on the external part of his penis - no internal involvement. That’s the good news. The bad news is is the vet who removed the growth was very short with him - the other vet who I’d seen the day before had told me he’d receive medication upon arrival to the office and I followed directions on giving him gabapentin night before and morning of with absolutely no effect - and my poor dog was so stressed out by this vet that he was incontinent of his bowels x 3. He also demanded a muzzle placed. He then thought he was going to be able to administer his medication to him finally but as an IVP. Yeah that didn’t happen and then the vet was “well you’re just going to have to take him somewhere else”. I then suggested administering the med IM which he finally agreed to and this was still very difficult because by then my poor dog had been terrorized. Fortunately he got the med and I sat with him helping him to relax and within 10 minutes they were able to safely take him back for surgery.
I know there HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY! What medication works better and don’t worry, I will advocate for my dog!
