Rotella t4 and Mobil delvac are both synthetic blends now
ОтветитьMobil delvac???? Jesus
ОтветитьIs 10w-30 any good for dd15 ?
ОтветитьIf you use amsoil you’ll become poor $$$$$$$$$$$$&$$
ОтветитьI am driving 2015 Freightliner cascadia and the color of the oil is red , Do you think is coolant get mix with oil?
ОтветитьDelvac is a synthetic blend
ОтветитьI recommend a good hash oil.
ОтветитьYou use whatever oil you want. You never know if it’s good or not until a piston goes out of the hood. Then was it the oil or faulty engine parts. It’s a crap shoot.
ОтветитьHave a 3406 cat with well over 20,000 working hours. I have always used rotella t4 15w40. I swear by it
ОтветитьImma swap from 15w 40 Rotella to 15w 50 Mystik im in Texas its hot af noticed that oil running alittle thinner than i like with the heat i also add 1 gallon of Lucus Oil Stabalizer motor overhauled 40k miles ago so i dont think ill have any issues but doing full change if its too thick then ill go down to thin ill add a gallon of Lucus Oil Stabalizer and see if that compensates for it i change every 10k miles deleted truck does not have egr cleaner inside
ОтветитьWith emissions engines use cheap oil and change more often. I once ran an engine 50k on synthetic but that truck was a paccar pre emissions and had a centrifugal oil filter and burnt a little oil.
ОтветитьShell Rotella T4 15w40 JASO MA MA2 for my vintage motorcycle 🏍 ♥️
ОтветитьAms oil for the win 🏆 off the rip never fails
ОтветитьSpitting facts
ОтветитьYou forgot Valvoline diesel oil good stuff
ОтветитьWhat about the other way around, like what if you bought a high mileage engine thats been running on syn its whole life and you decide to switch to conventional? Any negative effects?
ОтветитьWe use mystic 1540 on all of our fleet. No problems
ОтветитьConventional Mobile delvac for me love it!
ОтветитьWhat do you think about OPS systems from Pittsburgh Power? It's a separate circuit to filter the oil.
ОтветитьYup but bypass the hot ass turbo to oiless use silicone grease won't melt 🫠 superior industrial 2000 degrees even if turbo seals blows won't leak into intercooler sensors pipes n engine won't lose oil pressure n get contaminated just like trailer once in awhile in the top put ball grease fitting n block off oil drains on block n turbo Dale
ОтветитьWhat about a medium duty truck running down the road at higher rpm’s due to gearing. 2100-2300 rpm’s on highway. Should intervals be drastically reduced?
ОтветитьYou can run any brand and type of oil at anytime it’s not gonna hurt anything
ОтветитьSorry to tell you but Rotella is a high detergent oil. Diesels need a higher detergent do to the fact diesels are dirty engines.
ОтветитьOlder CAT 6nz at 1.7+ million miles, one in frame overhaul, I use geniune CAT 1808 oil filter and Shell Rotella T4...run 85% interstate, change every 13k to 16k miles...sometimes add some Lucas at about 10k when she gets about a half gallon low like clockwork...she runs good with strong oil pressure...but I know I'll be doing a overhaul soon...probably out of frame...strong engine i love my CAT
ОтветитьSyn or conventional....its still the same additive package. Synthetic only gives you longer oxidation protection, cold weather starts, and film strength over time. TBN retention and soot control is what you want.
If you are dirty add an ester based leave in flush, and change filter ever 3k.
So what is recommended for truck that you just bought and you have no idea what has Been getting ran in it?
ОтветитьPast 10 yrs all i use on my pre emission 14L is Rotella T6 5w40 full synthetic and replace it every 15k
ОтветитьOil sample if test good why change early?
ОтветитьI bought my truck 504k miles and now 720k miles, should I go for valfe adjustment?
ОтветитьRotella is not good. Go ahead use it. Burn your fucking engine up you’ve been warned
ОтветитьHow much can a skilled and experienced diesel mechanic make?
Ответитьoil change every 35k
ОтветитьI been using schaeffer's oil on my 2015 peterbilt 579 in my motor, transmission and Axel's i had no problems with it my engine sounds smooth i have 3 years using this brand
ОтветитьYour wrong my friend, there’s a reason why syn oil are used, they do studies on what last longer,
ОтветитьShe’ll Rotella is a terrible oil. It lowers your oil pressure by 5psi and it burns off terribly. I bought a 84 6.9 Ford was used since new. It burned 1/2 gallon per 1k changed to a good oil and didn’t have to add between oil changes and better oil pressure. Noticed the same in my semi 20 years latter. Shitty oil that pays people to recommend I would guess
ОтветитьChange your filters more often then you change your oil! Filter every 5k and you'd be amazed at how long oil will go
Ответить2016 dd15 10w30 or 15w30 which should i use?
Ответить10 or once a month
ОтветитьI literally just put amsoil in my 2019streak? Bought it with 400k miles. what problems might pop up down stream?
ОтветитьMy DD13 says 10W/30 and go up to 40k miles with the fuel economy I get in the bus.
Delvac 10W/30 works great. I usually go 20k miles.
I have a 2002 International with a Detroit S60. I've been using the Shell, Rotella T2 since I purchased the truck, 3 years ago, and originally, I changed the oil every 10,000 miles up until earlier this year. Now I'm changing the oil every 15,000 miles. Right now the odometer reads 82,500. Any advice for a truck this old??
ОтветитьMY DREAM WOULD BE TO HANG OUT AT YOUR SHOP
ОтветитьI think 12 k is a good mileage for oil change.
Remember "Oil is the blood of the engine".
All the name brand diesel oils are high detergent. I tell all my customers switch to Schaeffer's 15w40 synthetic blend do the first change at or a little sooner than what you where running and you will be fine!
ОтветитьNowhere for me to plug my truck in during winter months, had to use Amsoil, only 100% synthetic on the market, doesn't get thick.
ОтветитьCAT engine.....put CAT (mobil) oil in it.
ОтветитьI run rotella 10/30 in my cars. Best bang for the buck for sure. My engine inside status soooo clean over conventional car oil
ОтветитьAs long as the oil meets certification for the application it is going into, it will be fine.
ОтветитьI made the mistake of getting sucked in to Amsoil. I will never use Amsoil again.
