Thank you for giving a balanced analysis of both parties/candidates! I think that Trump's supportive position on IVF muddies the waters, but Harris is probably no different, and Trump would be less likely to pass IVF bills with a Republican Congress, than Harris would with a Democratic Congress. Trump's position on transgender issues is also clearly better than Harris's, though I doubt their positions on same-sex marriage are much different. I am glad the church never endorses one candidate over another, but I still think the choice is clear.

I live in the Diocese of Lincoln Nebraska

Catholics oppress women and are trying to control the government of the United States. They already control the Supreme Court. I also think there are many Catholic males in Congress who vote to take away the freedom of the women taxpayers of America. The Catholic religion is tax exempt and are using those tax free dollars to buy our government. Where is the IRS, who we taxpayers pay to protect our tax money. Are you bought and paid for or, threatened by Congress and , can’t do your job.

I beseech every Catholic voting for Trump to please commit to raising your voice regarding his slide into immorality with the recent Republican platform changes. We must insist on marriage between one man and one woman (he has removed this language), no government mandated IVF funding (Trump has called for this, IVF is a very evil and unregulated technology that separates procreation from the marital act and results in many aborted or frozen embryos, perhaps more than abortion), and the right to life of every human from conception to natural death (he has changed the platform so that now he only opposes late-term abortion). Be aware of these changes and do what you can to fight against them.

Something to take away too: God is always working, and always working good things out of bad.

Yes, Trump is the lesser of two evils...and who's to say that with his clearer stance against abortion, more good can come to him, and thus to the American people?

It is also true that God could influence Harris, however: the onset position is not promising, because her outright open position on abortion is 110% yes: it's okay to do.
Neither are Catholic, but one wants to save lives.

And ultimately, if Trump back pedals, he will have to answer his deceitful lies not just to us, but to God Himself.

Neither party is against abortions. Trump is not pro life. The only way Catholics are going to stop abortions is to active in rewroting the laws on abortion.

its amazing to me how theologically unsound most of his arguments are. his sermon is rife with logical inconsistencies and sad for a man who is supposedly trained in a seminary. This is a sad imitation of a sermon. so sad for him.

Its really so sad that a priest with years of training doesnt even have the most basic understanding of the concept of "CHURCH AND STATE" As a Catholic is am both saddened and appalled.

Thank you Fr for this message. I didn't know that the statement about the separation of the Church from the State, did not mean Separating our politics from our faith, rather to prevent Government from interfering in the lives of the people. I will hold this teaching to heart, and teach that to others too.

I agree with father but also this election we are fighting for the right of freedom of religion and the communist agenda that the Democratic Party is “imposing on us” by inmoral propaganda and indoctrination.

Thank God for this holy man speaking the truth! More should be like him.

May God infuse such boldness and courage into more and more bishops throughout our nation. We need to have the hearts and minds of bishops changed because that is where the problem is. Bishops MUST tell their priests that it is not only okay to make such homilies but it is encouraged. Then maybe those bishops will allow the many cancelled priests to again practice the ordained vows in a Catholic parish setting. If you are not hearing holies like this in your parish it is ONLY because of your bishop.

I hope the pope heard this.

Sorry Father but you have drank the Koolaid of Trump...We Catholic's do not approve abortions but do believe in women's rights..Now to educate people is what we are called to do and hope abortions will go away...Donald Trump only uses the abortion issue for political gains ..Educate the people on the sanctity of all life...

I know his language can be very rude, crude, and arrogant but if you watch him carefully you will realize that he does that to fight against some very bad people who promote some very bad things like abortion, transgenderism, human sex trafficking, corruptions and more. Cafeteria Catholics will not accept the truths that you point out because the U.S. bishops in particular have led them to believe their uninformed conscience, whatever it tells them whether right or wrong, is the rule to follow. In addition, they see that political cafeteria Catholics like Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi support these evils and they are never publicly corrected. That's why so many support contraception, abortion, same sex relationships, transgenderism, wokeism and every other evil they either never hear a priest or bishop talk about, or belong to the Democrat party of death.

Amazing. Beautiful sermon. Totally agree with most that is said. Ends with choosing the lesser of 2 evils. Really evil. Just want to add that as a fervent Catholic I cannot vote for the greater evil who is Trump. He has no respect for human life. His view of abortion has changed for the worse. He calls for the American military to shoot at peaceful protesters. Death penalty will significantly increase with him. Lastly on life he plans to revenge those who opposes him even eliminate them. So much more to say but just one to highlight is that he wants to be a dictator. We will loose numerous freedoms. Christians beware. He wants to be God and turn us into an idolatrous nation

Here is a hypothetical question ..... Let's say that the only party in the election that was anti abortion was the Communist Party, we (and I'm a 75 year old Catholic} would have to vote for the Communist Party. Correct?
