If I were NYC's mayor, I would try to pass a law that says all scaffolding must be removed from all buildings within five years. That scaffolding is an eyesore that distracts from the beauty of the city.

I lived in New York for ten years. It has its pros and cons. So many great eating establishments, so much energy. But people can be on the cold side to other people they don’t know. Still, I’d go back if I could afford it (had a rent-controlled studio there back in the 80’s—my old apartment is probably renting for ten times what I was paying back then. But as they say, it’s a nice place to visit.
