NO. I had a dentist as a child until I was 18. When I questioned why he kept finding cavities in the same teeth every six months he sent me away.
My sister had the same problem. In her 20"s she had to have all here fillings replaced. I lost most of my teeth by my 30's. I had false teeth by 40.

They are charging temporary teeth

They are all a bunch of crooks with a diploma!

I went to a dentist for a sensitive molar he removed an old filling and said I had calcification under the filling and charged $575 Dls to remove the calcification ended that I have a sensitive on another tooth at the en Three root canals and a crown cost me $7500 Dls.

I went to fix a lost filling, I had a Insurance card the 1st thing they did was see how much money they'd pay for which service. The different techs came in & some in the background celebrating how much they could make. A tech came in took 4 xrays of 1 tooth. Then proceeded to do more, she said oh don't worry you won't have to pay for it. I'm thinking good it's just part of the visit. Then this other dental hygienist is walking back n forth saying yeah I can schedule you for a couple cleanings a yr. I never go for that ever. I hate fluoride it has fractured my teeth n bones. The dentist looks at the tooth and said the root looks good, pulp good strong tooth. Well I'll do a root canal 1st, then I'll debreed it and give you a cap. Wow Not having that done. That sounds absurd. I'm not going back to Batesville new pretty office & his coercive crooks. I was charged for a dental exam of my whole mouth a full mouth dental history and he pulled a tooth I had lost the enamel. I went in for a lost filling. Got xrays I was not asked if they could do that or the excessive xrays & I never recieved a full dental exam. They charged my insurance. I'm not going back needless to say

Look for natural no mercury, lead or fluoride used dentists. They are available in most states. Love it

I got medical insurance statewide a few years ago and now all they do is x rays but trying to pull teeth no cleaning now my two teeth under front have so much plaque they wanna pull a bunch forget it I have had infections because they don't clean your teeth w that insurance therefore getting a cleaning by paying instead and we will see what happens.i use bentonite coconut oil and sometimes fluoride toothpaste it's like 50/50 I'm 54 never had a tooth pulled

Went to new dentist, after cleaning he coated my teeth with flouride, without my permission. Then during check out charged me $50. I told them my insurance covers cleaning, they said not fluoride treatments, i refused to pay. Scam!!

I have had periodontal issues for quite some time now. I went to a periodontist 🦷 ( not going to say, who or where) and he basically said I need bridges and all kinds of stuff. So, I asked the receptionist what she thought and she told me to go elsewhere. I do not trust dentists 🦷 anymore. They make a ton of money 💰 and I believe they look at us as their bank 🏦.

My poor wife has had about $100,000 dollars 💵 invested in her mouth! Unfortunately, she was dealt with really bad genetics 🧬 teeth 🦷 wise from her parents. They both had full month dentures in their 30’s! And to this day( 2024) she still has to have work done. I feel really sorry for her. Thankfully, she has very caring dentists 🦷 that have taken good care for her and they are going to be able to retire. One just did, with her money!

I did find an incredible dental 🦷 office in St. Augustine Florida. The shout out goes to The Dental Specialists Of North Florida! If you need work done, they are GREAT!

That's why you should always look at your X rays

In UK the National health service damage your teeth .. root canals .. pulling teeth out unnecessarily .. completely ruining your teeth .. plus getting annoyed with you if you tell them that you are working on remineralization natural repair ... ruining front teeth with small fillings to cover small areas of worn out enamel that can repair itself by taking supplements .. anyway ... i think it's not even just a dentist that have been recommended it comes down to individual situation and luck unless it's very good kind honest person otherwise they are selective and rob you off anyway if you are a single "Miss" foreigner no one to stand up for you, they take advantage of vulnerable person ...i was looking for private dentist 3 years ago to save my 3 teeth root canals and it was horrific the plans that were presented to me by some dentists .. awful ... such as shaving the teeth right away down to gums and putting crowns at the top of the root canal job with the warning that it might not work out and could be pulled out .. absolutely horrific .. they are not ashamed ..

My biggest problem at the dentist isn't fraud so much as ineffective care plans that cause as much problems as the solve.
I had a tooth that was causing a problem. I said "well it seems as though we should pull it out"
But, they said "we should try to save it".
OK, they're the professionals right?
So, root canal and a crown for $3K out of pocket.
30 months later. The tooth had to be removed!! Was it worth $100 a month to keep that tooth? Especially since it was a problem the whole time?

Not justifying any scammer, but there are active and passive scammers. When dentists scam, they are passively scamming since the patients come to them trustingly. They don't normally actively seek out their victims. It's the reach and degree of scamming we're really afraid of.

I was on the verge of getting 4 healthy teeth removed (for braces) with NO EXPLANATION of the downside to this. Disgusting.

The dental industry is definitely unregulated. Dentists often carry out unnecessary and sloppy procedures, and charge customers a lot of different fees for the same procedures. I once had a crown done three times by the same dentist. Each of them only last a few years. On the last replacement, he told me not to chew food on that side of the mouth anymore.

The Doctor at my old dentist office that my family went to retired and a new younger guy came in saying my sister needed to go to an oral surgeon and my sister was super stressed about it and crying. She goes to another dentist and she just needs a night guard.

When I was child, a dentist filled all my back molars, and with amalgam fillings, no less. After seeing this, I'm sure they were healthy teeth. I remember not liking him and having a bad feeling about what he was doing.

Went to a new dentist and they show you all this shading in X-rays which anyone can do in black n white. Said I had 4 cavities. Went for a second opinion and none were found. Scam artists out here in Las Vegas. Decatur and Blue Diamond was the one I mentioned.

Dentist just told me 6 mos ago ( over the yrs too) everything in good shape , gums and bone look good, never any cavities. Now she has to replace a crown thats leaking and she says my front tooth root looks funny( my front teeth look beautiful and no pain or problems) so she wants me to see a perio of an icat scan . The perio called me and it was the 1st id known of this. Last year she redid a crown and little beknownst to me, the temp came off in the mold ( I didn't know i thought id swallowed it the nxt day, this yr the asst was new and acted like she didn't know how to do xrays.. she couldn't get the xrays right ,,,after i get the perm crown on Im changing to a new dentist

Mine has stopped showing me my xrays.. this last time it was because the hygienist couldn't get them right

Don’t trust dentists , I had three different opinion about tooth treatment . Just turn on your logic and trust yourself , find a good doctor, who is not only about money but about how to save your teeth naturally for years. Implants are so expensive , you can’t replace your own teeth. Find the best one for your health.

When the economy is bad, people avoid dentists as one if the first cost cutting. You see empty lots at dentist. So those who do go often the dentist pushing unnecessary work to make up lots of profits.

I had a discoloration that was obviously decay but was still solid and when I asked my debtist to drill it out for me he refused until he saw the hole. Pretty sure he's a good one.

I recently visited a dentist whom I was appointed by an insurance company. I felt I was scammed. Based on what problem I had in the past, he went ahead with X-Ray then CT scan and then he said he said he needs to refer me to an endodontist for expert's opinion. At the end he asked me to pay for these test and CT-scan image and reference paper with bill. $214 copay. I was taken aback to see the amount. I was only visited the practice for general checkup. In the past, the regular checkup had been no cost to me, even with cleaning. I reported to the insurance company, its governing body, QIO (Livanta), BBB but it does not seem to go any further. Only choice appears to take him to court which I don't believe cost or time wise. In conclusion, it appears there does not seem there is a stringent guideline or regulatory bodies to control dental practice. I wish I knew a way to find a dentist that I can trust. I just cannot trust any dentist/endodontist.

No dentist wants to help, they just want to do crowns for money. If they were talented, they’d do root canals, but unfortunately (for them) endodontists are far more educated and skilled so they control that racket

I fired my dentist because i got 4 deep cleanings throughout the year. Way too many X-rays and my insurance claims start to deny their claims

I like this channel. I am wary of dentists and although I just went yesterday for a cleaning I was disappointed that the dentist said I needed four crowns! Just last six months he said I needed two crowns and a retreat of a root canal. I got the retreat done and the endo said I did not need a new crown. Now, this dentist says I need a new crown despite the endo saying that I don’t.

My gut says to run!
