There was one drop of water and now it’s in the river,
There was one grain of sand and now it has gone into the earth.
Your coming into this world - what is it ?
A fly came, showed itself and then disappeared.

As much as you can don’t offend your nearest,
In the fire of your rage don’t offend your nearest,
If the peace of prophets is your goal,
Don’t get offended and don’t offend your nearest.

I’m crying out desperately that life has passed by in vain,
And the flesh is desecrated and the breath is heavy.
The dreams which weren’t fulfilled have distorted my face,
I’m crying about the deeds I didn’t want to do.

You came from the earth pure and were desecrated,
You entered life happy and got concerned.
You were as a spring of life in the flame of heart,
And gave your life to the wind and perished away.

Yak kkatraie ob budu bo daryio shud,
Yak zarraie khock bo zamin yakjoh shud,
Omad shudanee tu andar in dunyio cheest?
Omad magase, padidu nopaydo shud.

To bitwonee ranja magardon kasro,
Bar otashee khashmee khes manshon kasro,
Gar rohatee jovidon tamaa’ medoree,
Meranch hameshavu maranjohn kasro.

Phariyod, kee umr raft bar behuda,
Hum lukma haromu hum nafas oluda.
Pharmudaie nokarda siyahruyam kard,
Phariyod zee kardahoie nofarmuda.

Pock az adam omademu nopock shudem,
Shodon ba dar omademu hamnock shudem.
Budem zee obee dida dar otashee deel,
Dodem ba bod umru dar khock shudem.
