I had an R80GS which I used on back road touring. I was able to get a 700 kays out of a tank.
ОтветитьShe likes the Pan America more. That’s a completely different league. At least 10k more
ОтветитьGreat fun review! Thanks. P S. Red line on v85 is 8000. Peak Hp is7750. As per manual for my v 85
ОтветитьMoto Guzzi for sure. My son has the V7 Stone, which has the same engine, and I am looking at the V85tt. Just nice motorcycles. Fun, simple, reliable, efficient, and well styled machines. They just put a smile on your face every time you ride it; the way motorcycling was supposed to be.
ОтветитьMG V85 is not a scrambler so i guess you dont like BMW
Now ill watch!
As long as you never decide to get rid of your Guzzi. You will own it for life. It competes for MV as the absolute worse resale of any bike in history.
ОтветитьStreet tires on a off road review
ОтветитьAny road tester who thinks the R9T engine hasn't changed since the 1940's seriously needs to do his homework before making such a statement, he has not a clue. I would suggest a change in profession.
ОтветитьBMW also advertises the R nineT scrambler as, you guessed it the scrambler.
ОтветитьLooks like the discontinued MotoGuzzi Griso would be more to Whitney's liking . Much more similar design and purpose.
ОтветитьKind of an odd matchup in my opinion, better test would’ve been the V85 versus an F850 GS
ОтветитьNot to be a nah sayer, but this is a piss poor comparison video. the R-nineT is a neo retro and GS/Scrambler by name only, it's road bike only really. For a completely different market. the Gussi V85 is an adventure bike, the BMW competition for this machine would be the F850gs or something like that, can't remember the name of the less off-road version of the midsized GS.
ОтветитьI have the Pan America and the V 85tt. Love them both. Comfort, style and rideability were nailed on those two bikes.
ОтветитьGotta be honest, seeing you ride these bikes at 35mph hurt a little. Nice review tho. Guzzi all the way.
ОтветитьI put a new comfy seat on my r nine T scrambler and just rode 2500 mils on it with luggage...it was great. The engine ate the miles up, cruise control gave me a break and up and down mountains it had no worries, a little light off roading( it ain't no real scrambler for sure)...all in all it was robust, had everything I needed and I could still throw it into corners and have a bit of fast fun when required.
ОтветитьGuzzi for me any day :) Pete
Ответитьbeing 6"4' how wehre the ergomnomics for you on the RnineT
ОтветитьI have both and the R9T Scrambler is a blast to ride in the mountain twisties, but not off-pavement, and not for 200 mile rides. The V85TT is the better bike for all-around utility and the one I take for long, multi-state rides. Not a perfect bike, but it does a lot of things remarkably well. Thanks for the comparison.
Ответитьyour the only person who doesnt love the bmw rninet ??? mabee your right and we are all wrong lol
ОтветитьI have rode both those bikes back to back, No one in their right mind would pick the B.M.W over the Moto Guzzi, which is a better bike all-round.
ОтветитьI have both that exact rnine t (the sunday bike) and the himalayan (the other days ride) both are torquey in their own way and living in Canada I get to stare at them for six months without esthetic fatigue. But I would never ride the gs in rocks! That is not its ecosystem.
ОтветитьV85TT scrambler?!
ОтветитьGuzzis aren't opposed V-twins it's transverse
ОтветитьLove the planted feeling on my bmw boxer
ОтветитьI'd have a TT tomorrow, first time I've felt like this for years, all 67 of them. Brilliant and beautiful, too often now the styling is done with only the ugly stick 👍👍
ОтветитьScramblers kinda suck period.
ОтветитьAww.. Kinda gave away which bike is the loser in the first 30 seconds... I mean, it was clear that the exact make/model of the other bike didn't matter.. If, after all, the worst one was the one that wasn't available for the shoot, then there wouldn't be a shoot until you got one. No worries though..if the hosts didn't realize they gave it away.. I'm guessing it was just a fluke of caffeine induced efemeral brilliance on my part.
ОтветитьI am really glad I bought the V85TT. It rocks! But I do find my throttle hand gets tired in town, where I don't use the cruise control. Looking for a solution to the vibrating hand tingle.
ОтветитьGuzzi coming on strong, get more good dealers it would so much improve, BMW dealers at the moment enjoy huge profit margins in the product and more on after sales!
ОтветитьMagical Guzzi's all the modals grab your heart strings!
ОтветитьNice to see Whitney again ! Love those double testing versus comparison like you did on the previous channel you both were on.
ОтветитьI prefer Moto Guzzis. Oh, what was the question?
ОтветитьV85 is a scrambler just like I actually am Brock Lesnar
ОтветитьSounds like BMW succeed in making a retro bike! In fairness they do call it an urban GS. Loved the old airheads but am buying a modern GS.
Ответить5 minutes into the video and I've been forced to watch 5 unskippable ads. Ok I don't have a premium account, but 5 ads in 5 minutes are a lot. Should I expect 17?
ОтветитьI picked up my 2023 V85TT in November of 2023 and have fallen in love with it. The bike just seems to be a good all around bike. I now spend equal time in the saddle between it and my 2022 Harley Davidson Lowrider ST.
ОтветитьCould you guys do a comparison between the Svart 701 and the V85TT? Those are the two bikes I'm trying to decide between. I love how both bikes look completely original and unique in their own way.
ОтветитьI bought the U/GS in 2018. Literally one of the worst bikes I've ever owned, and I've had at least 25 of them. Wheelbase is long, it's heavy, the shocks/suspension is jarring, the battery? Oh, just wait till you need to replace that, hope you enjoy unscrewing the gas tank. What else? Oh, right. The riders position. You mention that you can't stand. You're right, it's awkward and dumb, nothing like a GS, or even an RT for that matter, but wait until you put some miles in and your shoulder starts hurting. It's basically a cafe with knobbies in GS trim. It's SO, SO bad.
The positives. The engine. It's amazing. The torque. I love it. The sounds. One of the better out-of-the-box exhaust sounds outside of Aprilia RSV's.
That's it. Overall, this is the sorriest bike I've ever owned, and sadly, it's still in my garage. Maybe I'll sell it now.
I am a very proud owner of a T7 World Raid and made the mistake of test driving one of these V85s the other day. Now my T7 needs a sister. Badly. That thing is AWESOME i loved it way more than i could have ever imagined
ОтветитьShe really is the standard woman. Picks the shit. I understand why the women vote left. Because it is wrong and sick, they vote for this. No, I don't want women's opinions on anything, actually.
ОтветитьYou're not comparing apples to apples BRO!
ОтветитьThe R nine T has awfull stock suspension. (I have one). And even the Urban GS will never be an offroader… it`s a cafe racer with a Scrambler look. Even with upgraded suspension it is No off-roader. It`s way to heavy !
Ответить"I'm a great fan of Moto Guzzi...I didn't know they were doing the ADV thing." Credibility =zero
ОтветитьLooks like the urban, thanks for correcting the dude. Motor Guzzi have way more issues also. Do your research buddy.
ОтветитьGuzz!
ОтветитьSpite really said “hey Whitney let me shat on your BMW for 15 minutes for my channel”😂😂
ОтветитьLove it! Anyone in Austin know where Spite rode for this offroad portion BTW? Assume somewhere west off 2222 and surrounding area?
ОтветитьMoto Guzzi💪🏻👋🏻👋🏻
ОтветитьDad bike energy! 🤣
ОтветитьWhat's your pick? The R9T for some off road flair and cruiser vibes, or the Guzzi for a neo-retro sport tourer with some dirt road chops?
Ответить
