True story: 13 year old "ran away"; then rang doorbell in the middle of the night wanting to come back home. Dad asks, "Who is it?" Son says "it's me, your son." Dad opens door and says "my son ran away" and closes the door and turns off the lights.

Morning comes.."runaway" is back. He slept behind a garbage dumpster during the night.

Lesson learned!

Bring back this kind of parenting. I am tired of this soft 'gentle parenting', 'everything is trama' generation. How else will they tell stories when they grow up if you don't let them experience things? Bring back the 80s.

At 5 I packed my dad's briefcase, grabbed my cabbage patch bestie, announced my departure, hit the door, in the dark, made it to the corner and then had to rethink life right fast cuz I hadn't thought out my departure. I mean, so what if I went back and stayed for another 12 years, but I eventually left just like I said I would. 😂

Haha! I remember when I said I was running away. My brothers packed my bag for me and one was moving his stuff into my room. They ushered me out the door and closed the curtains when I looked back. Finally mom called me back but they were all having a ball.

I did this but my grandmother lived behind us so I went there. My mother was totally in a panic! And my daughter did this during the day. I slammed the door, she walked to the edge of the curb, looked one way, then the other and started crying. When she knocked on the door I opened it and said ‘Who are you?!’ She wailed. She is 22 now and sitting next to me and we are cracking up watching this and remembering. 😂

PS l remember TRYING to run away or move away and My mother said go ahead🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭and you can't take nothing not even the clothes on your back 😘🙏🏾 and the next time l wanted to urgently to move,l planned it and l had saved money from My summer jobs and a place to REALLY go and l did successfully the last time 🥰👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I told my mother that I was running a way from home. My mother said with what I thought was with a tone of concern. She said oh no, my baby isn't running a way from home. She gave me some money and said, my baby can ride a way.

My moma told me if I ran away take everybody with you,and stop off at the store and get me some bread!😊

He's adorable. I would cuddle with him every night or other night. As much as I can. They grow up so fast and that time is GONE! When they become teen, they don't check as much and before you know it man and woman. It's like you born a grown person because they don't say babies long. He even knows the word cuddle what a sweetie. 💓💓
