What if I want to make cold coffee instead of a latte?

Weirdly enough, I feel I get much better results using room temperature water than I do with hot water. For my preferences. And I use a local dark roast with a fine grind but not as fine as espresso.

The coffee seem to just burst out from the top as soon as the water starts evaporating, is it the pot problem or did I set the heat of the stove too high?

I followed most of your steps and still made a bitter brew (when drunk straight, just with sugar). I'll try adjusting the grind to regular grind - and thanks for the french press milk frothing idea. Amazing - I'll try that too.

The coffee starting spurting out when I was using boiling water out of the kettle, what can I do to change this?

I have a tiny 1 cup moka pot and am obsessed with it. I started doing everything he suggests except for running it under cold water. It's hard to do moka with an electric stove, but I've got it figured out. What I do is microwave the water to get it hot, put it in and turn the burner on high. Once I start to hear the pressure building, I pull the moka pot halfway off the burner, and then a little bit more as it starts to come out of the funnel.

I basically pour the coffee off into a cup as soon as it's about halfway through thr brewing, and then stick it back on the burner to get more, and pour it off. Once no more coffee is coming out and I smell burning I know there's no more water, but because I poured it out in intervals I didn't burn anything.

I like to pour it onto ice and make myself a nice iced coffee with a splash of cream and some sugar free caramel syrup. Tastes amazing, I feel no need to ever go to a starbucks again!

If it gurgles, you've made bitter coffee. Stop it just before the gurgle for an infinitely tastier cup

Erm we aren’t supposed to wash with liquid so it won’t be shiny clean like the video, that looked like a brand new pot, not a heavily used one . If it is a genuine old pot you’ve used liquid and or wire wool . Your genuine Italian moka pot won’t last. Theyre aluminium will turn a funny colour, then it’s for the bin

If I take it off the stove and run cold water when it starts gurgling then it doesn't make all the coffee... only fills about half the top section.

I wish you people would stop calling it a "Latte". If you go to Italy and ask for a "Latte" they will give you milk. It's called either "Latte e Caffè" or "Cappuccino" if you want your milk frothy.

What if you just want one big cup of coffee? Isn’t the amount of coffee he put in(in the video) too much? I noticed that to fully fill it, you probably need to add around 5 teaspoons, which is quite a lot.

Could one just add faucet water to the base, heat it up on the stove, then attach the top to avoid heating the coffee grounds? (One less pot to mess with)
