It’s easy to get a entry level job at amazon however it’s pretty competitive to get hired as an external for L4 and above

I have a feeling that comment was about corporate jobs in Amazon which is actually competitive. Warehouse jobs is a different story, they hire anyone 😂 I’m surprised they haven’t started hiring high schoolers .

I went to a hiring event at the millenium hotel in Buffalo, NY on October 1, 2021 and went through the whole process. Then I was instructed to check my application status everyday. As of Thursday, October 7th there was still no status update so I called them and I was informed that they lost my mouthswab drug test. So I had to go to another hiring event to repeat the process all over again. Finally on Monday, October 11th I got an email telling me I was hired. Then they sent me like 50 pages of paperwork to fill our and sent me like 2 hours of safety videos to watch. Then I went to Amazon Buf5 on Saturday, October 16th at 8:30pm for orientation. When I went to orientation I was happy and excited. But quickly my excitement turned to stress and anxiety after I started working there. There was one of the PA’s in particular who kept giving me a hard time when I was working in bagland and when I got my orange vest she was trying to prevent me from being trained in anything other than scanning.
I had to demand and put in several requests to be trained in other things with the learning ambassadors.
The first thing I was trained in was flow scanning, then pickoff/sorter/facer, x-wing, and problem solve.
All the good managers, learning ambassadors, pa’s, and safety team that used to be at Buf5 ended up resigning and walking out. Leaving us with all the bad ones

I couldn't imagine an interview for an Amazon warehouse job generating anything of substance whatsoever, much less the hiring manager saying anything besides "yes you are hired . . ." The application would speak for itself but they didn't even ask about previous jobs, schools, anything, etc. So it wouldn't matter why you left our last job or if this was your first job or you had not worked in 20 years, or you punched your old boss in the face, etc. It's great that there are companies like this that hire automatically too bad there are not more of them . . .

For those of you that got hired part-time in a warehouse, how did you apply? I'm trying to apply in Texas and I see no positions full-time or part-time on the amazon website. I find this very hard to believe. I see positions in other states, but not Texas. I also see nothing posted on indeed. What's up with that?

I work at amazon doing deliveries and I was wondering, have you made a video explaining each position inside the warehouse? I know you made made qualifications and easiest to worst. But I wanted to switch into the warehouse but i dont know what position is right for me im hoping your opinion can help me make a decision and the right one at that. These guys are never hiring in my city. 3yrs ago I got this job with barely any waiting, now it’s been over 2 weeks and my city still hasn’t shown up and I can’t wait until Prime Week. It’s really sad.
