Good job Labour cut those disability benefits then ehh! 👌✂️😉
ОтветитьFor the last two months Orange tariff wars turned out to be tariff racket.
ОтветитьIf we try to dodge the tariffs it might piss off the EU and cause them to put them on us, or at least give us less cozy deals.
ОтветитьIt all depends on what Trump does. This could be anything mild to mad. Uncertainty might be more damaging.
ОтветитьTake the state visit off the bastard That will eat away at the bastard
ОтветитьOne must be wary of taking what Chump says out loud for the benefit of Americans as the be all & end all. There will more than likely be deals taking place behind the scenes, on a case by case basis.
ОтветитьI'll level with you. I have lost all faith in labour.
ОтветитьAmerican here who hopes UK rejoins EU. America deserves to suffer Trump’s policies but the world doesn’t….😊😊
Ответить @petertherealist7089 Oh he made a pitiful worthless gesture so he could pretend what? He is still sending weapons ammo and anti riot gear to Israel still helping them with intelligence and is according to the UN and the ICJ fully complicit in the genocide that is occurring in Gaza. Spare me the pitiful levels of gaslighting.
ОтветитьThe FT doesn't strike me as a typical Right wing Tory newspaper.
I think Starmer's appeasement game plan is falling apart and team RED are trying to downplay the impact of Starmer's failings.
Jobs to America? Not many due to a.i. and robots being main productivity providers for future factory developments.
ОтветитьThe Tories are the party of total idiots Chris Philps hes got im talking absolute bull written all over his dial ,Kemi badenoch is so boring talks bull in monotone they are toast.for yonks got more time for lib dems they have character and morality.
ОтветитьPhil So much passion when talking about WORLD NEWS 🌎 wish you had the same passion for uk news lol 😆 😀 nope 😂😂
ОтветитьMore of Lord Rupert Murdoch's handiwork. He got you Brexit and he worked overtime to put Agent Orange back on the throne.
ОтветитьThe Daily Mail, the paper that supported Hitler.
Ответить'Bye bye, miss amerikan pie'
ОтветитьYep totally agree, if the bigly beautiful tarrifs is the only bad policy orangery dum dum does ,I'll take it, unfortunately he's demented., it's gonna be a long hot summer and I'm not talking about atmospheric temperature.🏴😉🇺🇸🌞💙
ОтветитьHaving a trade deal with trump changes nothing. He won't honor his own deals should the whim to inflict cruelty strike.
ОтветитьPhil, I've been following you for like a decade, but now you seem to be on the "pander to the orange idiot" train, I have no more time for you. The ONLY way is to tell the orange one to go get fucked. If you are still on the "pander" train then you are a waste of all our time. It's a shame but you are incapable of meeting this moment, so unsubscribing
ОтветитьHi Phil, I’m sure you are right about the Daily Mail Headline but I think it might come in handy for Labour to be able to blame Trump for any future bad economic news. Even the Mail readers will buy that.
ОтветитьYehhh! You read my comment. Good work.
ОтветитьHarley Davidson can do one...
ОтветитьTrump's tariffs do far more damage to the USA than anywhere else.
Ответить10% on uk yes getting of ok
ОтветитьBack to work programmes my fkn arse! Sorry Phil, youve been great over the years but this is punishment to people who are ill!
ОтветитьLower than the e.u. tariffs
ОтветитьWhy the f*ck does Britain always turn towards America? How about turning our head the other way towards the EU. There is no special relationship.
ОтветитьIt is because they know that Chamberlain Starmer has bent over and spread them for NAZI Trump
ОтветитьWell EU goods are going to incur tarrifs of 20% ( that US consumers have to pay of course) while carries from Brexit UK are only 10% surely this is a Brexit benifit as there is less incentive to discourage US consumers from buying British goods.
And before we get carried away with how bad this is for world trade. The EU and UK impose 20% VAT on all imported US goods
Labour, if they're really worried about Reform, need to be pointing out again and again and again and again that Farage worships Trump and Putin and Musk. Constantly showing what Farage thinks is good for the country. Just make Reform even more meaningless than it realistically is already. It has no answers or real policies. Just things that it thinks people don't like, no answers other than 'we could do a Trump or Putin, that'll make the country all wonderful again. Just like the 1930s, 40s, 50s. Weren't they good times?'. No, Reform, no. They were really grim times.
ОтветитьWe got lucky only 10% for UK exports but to get lower tariffs Starmer threw the UK under the bus:
- bought F35-As instead of Euro fighters (then wonders why the UK is excluded from EU arm funds)
- lowered food standards (that's chlorinated chicken and hormone injected beef)
- privatised the NHS
- not taxed US tech firms (further erroding the UK high street)
- handed sovereignty to Trump for an anti-abortionist law breaker.
I wouldn't be surprised if Starmer joins Trump when the US goes to war with Iran.
This is making BREXIT work!
The biggest problem the USA has is that he has deported a lot of the potential workers. Mr Trump is expecting to get money from these tariffs but I doubt he will get as much as he expects because exporters in foreign countries will find other markets. 1000% tariff on zero gives you zero.
ОтветитьAustralia may have a slight win here. We export 400.000 tonne of beef to the USA but seeing we just lost 150,000 head of stock (not all were cattle) due to natural disasters then perhaps we Australians will be able to buy our own beef afterall.
ОтветитьBoeing are going to love having to pay an extra 25% for Rolls Royce jet engines used on the 787.
ОтветитьAnyoone else notice the Russia didn't seem to be on the list.
ОтветитьImagine the devastation to US automakers, like Ford, GM, and the one with the weird name that used to be Chrysler, etc. Most of their parts and components are made in Mexico and Canada. Then there's steel and aluminium (or alooominoom, as they call it), which comes from Canada, ..... even if the vehicles are ASSEMBLED in the USA.
ОтветитьStarmers appeasement of Trump's plays into Farage's hands!
ОтветитьUS not able to support "free trade". China with ONE trillion dollar trade surplus in 2024. The US is going bust. President Trump fixing America after BIDEN and OBAMA crashed US economy resulting in hyperinflation. Europe to suffer long-term economic decline.
Ответитьhe'll backtrack on half this crap within days. blah blah blah
ОтветитьThe tariffs on the Heard and McDonald Islands are really going to hurt the inhabitants. I expect their parliament to declare war at any time. Well, if there were any inhabitants to form a parliament that is.
ОтветитьSo the Tories were crying wolf.
But I thought Trump was their best mate.
The UK have got off relatively lightly. Labour now have to sit tight and don't overreact. Something is going on with Trump. He's also created a logistical nightmare. It could implode quickly but more likely will create trade chaos. The fallout across the planet could last for years.
ОтветитьThe goal is to destabilise the global economy. It has nothing to do with bringing jobs back to the USA
ОтветитьStill understands nothing. Starmer and Reynolds hopeless. As joining the EU goes further and further away day after day. Ignorance is amazing. "I want to join the EU but understand absolutely nothing about it."
ОтветитьUltimately the tariffs by Trump are a tax on the U.S. public. We will have to pay more. In some sense it would have no direct effect on the country on which they are placed. There is, of course, an indirect effect if the tariffs add so much to the cost of the desired product that a citizen would not purchase the now higher cost imported product. So, it is the U.S. populace that pays the tariff tax (largest tax in the history of the USA). Of course the larger issue is whether a trade war will occur. If a country places a direct tariff on a product imported from the USA, they would pay for their countries tariff if they purchased the more expensive US product. Of course the indirect effect on the USA is that there will probably be a reduction in the purchase of the US product because it is not affordable. But once again the bigger issue is the potential trade war that leads to a reduction of purchases everywhere and this will depress the economies and lead to work loss. I really don't think the idiot in the WH has any idea what tariffs really are. Sorry world that people in the USA put such a bozo in charge and spineless representatives in Congress who has the real responsibility to legislate tariffs.
ОтветитьIt will be for the American economy !
ОтветитьTariffs are taxes on yourself. Just because America chooses to punch itself in the face doesn't mean Britain has to do the same.
ОтветитьConservatives are Trump acolytes - human scum. They will never run this country again.
ОтветитьThe British economy beaten up?
Did Russia beat the poor Brits?
Did India beat the poor Brits?
Did China beat the poor Brits?
Did Germany beat the poor Brits?
