Do a diamond back cover lock picking resistant lock @lockpickinglawyer
ОтветитьHonestly never thought about getting a empty handle, I have 1 covert companion, but picking up a empty handle would be nice 🙂
ОтветитьThe store system is terrible, I’m trying to buy some items but the sale doesn’t work and keep getting a refund. Costumer service said there’s nothing they can do 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
ОтветитьCan we stick these in a leather men?
ОтветитьThe whole website is out of stock...
ОтветитьWait, are the locking mechanisms still available?
ОтветитьI cannot for the life of me figure out how to install this expansion on the CC. When inserted in the swing-arm, it is too long and collides with the post.
ОтветитьWhy does Lock Picking Lawyer avoid locks with double sided keys since they are the only ones that present a challenge.
ОтветитьI really wish people would stoo treating .025 picks as the standard. I see far more people using .020 picks for everything, these are too fat. Either you arent making the .020 picks or youre condtantly sold out of them because thats all people buy, which is an indicator. When the riv pick comes out in .020 ill buy it.
ОтветитьJust got my Riv-Pic today here in the UK. Is there a video showing how to integrate it into the covert companion ? Many thanks 🙏
ОтветитьJust got mine. Trying to add it. 😢
ОтветитьFolding Utility Covert Kit
ОтветитьHope they are back in stock soon
ОтветитьThe riv pick is an excellent concept, but Jumpin Jehosaphat is it ever stiff to fold out.
I wish I had a trigger scale handy to test it because I would guess its north of 20 pounds.
is the locking mechanism included in every covert companion or do I have to buy something else to add on to it?
ОтветитьThat Riv Pick would be good to have even on its own. It folds out and locks to the same footprint as a normal pick, it's like a smaller covert companion.
ОтветитьI'm still having issues with the latest covert companion. Maybe i've put mine together wrong although I followed your exact step by step guide on how to put it together with the expansion pack or I've added too many picks. One side has a big gap so I had to use the rubber spacer to fill the gap. The picks are still quite loose so I end up using the pick handle to hold it in place when picking
ОтветитьAnybody else find the riv pick gets Jammed ??
ОтветитьWait is it possible to get that locking mechanism for our current ssf? That looks slick
ОтветитьCan someone point me to the tutorial on how to make the picks lock in place? That had been my biggest struggle so far!
ОтветитьI like this idea. One thing I'd suggest is instead of riveting it together, you could use a knurled nut and a screw. This would allow you to replace picks after they get damaged, and allow you to loosen the tension on the picks when selecting one to use, and tighten the tension--a pseudo-locking mechanism--after you've selected the pick you want to use.
Just an idea. Not sure if there would be a problem doing that.
After one of my picks wears out, I'm going to try modifying my rivpick, because there are different profile hooks that I like better than the 2 hook, so I'm going to try and replace that one.
I've found that the jack knife picks from multipick fit pretty well into the covert companion, after you file the hole at the base of the picks to increase its diameter enough to fit snugly on the connectors of the covert companion pegs.
I've been using CC with some multipick jackknife picks added to it for a while, and it works very well. One of my favorite things to carry around, and I've been able to get into most locks I encounter with it.
Awesome idea though, and thanks! My riv pick just came in, as well as some other cool little CC additions--like the commercial door hook. I can't wait to play with them!
My work just got a new building, so I'm going to do some 'security testing' for them. It's an excuse to play with my lock picks and people are usually curious to see if I can get in.
Mine just came today - very happy with it. It's nice to have an addition to the covert companion that allows easy picking of more difficult locks; no additional practice or acclimation required if you're used to standard size picks. Previously, while the covert companion was a neat tool to carry, I knew it didn't provide me with the picking capabilities of an ordinary set of picks. Now the companion is especially awesome & a more-than-worthy EDC. The feel and feedback on this is more or less equivalent to a standard pick & any lock I have the skill to pick is pickable by it. My only complaint is that the pick is still allowed to rotate back toward the closed position; not a deal breaker but it is somewhat inconvenient.
ОтветитьEh... I just don't like the covert companion. The steel is a bit too soft for my taste.
ОтветитьIs that locking mechanism standard now? Because I really want it if I get one.
ОтветитьI am not a lock picker but I ended up buying the covert companion handle and adding keys and small tools to it. It's essentially a customizable multi-tool, which is rad. Would love to see other little additions over time (like pliers) but in the meantime, I can just fabricate small tools I need myself.
ОтветитьSo I have a guy I work with that abandon his job and tòl box and I know some of my tools are in his box whata the best way to gain access to this tool box
ОтветитьOMG I knew i saw a different video of this where the parts were detachable. This is awesome, i need to catch a sale😢
ОтветитьI swear it get thickers each video
ОтветитьGreat demonstration thanks.
ОтветитьI'm uncertain if my model is the issue or if a design flaw, but no matter what rubber tensioning sleeve I use, the riv pick keeps butting up against in when attempting to insert it causing the assembly to warp.
ОтветитьThe Covert companion that is shown on-screen is not what you receive. The item I got is far inferior. Thin metal without heat-treating. Lock-picking-lawyer will not issue a refund since I'm in Canada.
ОтветитьDO NOT BUY. Lock-picking-lawyer said the tool is good but it has always failed. DO NOT BUT THE COVERT COMPANION!!!!!!!!!!!!! SCAM! It sucks.
ОтветитьThis helped illuminate the function of this better than the website. I felt like the website doesn't explain why exactly you might want to choose this if the Covert Companion already includes picks that can perform this function on their own.
Ответитьcan you add a video showing it's installation, like the tensioner expansion? i'm convinced i'm trying to slot the riv pick in between the carrier guides wrong.
ОтветитьAny chance of a Slim Pickings assembly video? Thanks for the great channel and Covert Instruments.
ОтветитьDeciding between covert companion and the eschalon. Pros and cons?
ОтветитьNot sure where to reach out about this o.O 2 things/suggestions. 1, Make magnetic screws for this. Preferably poloraize them so that 2 different tools will always lock together in the same direction. The "Back" side of the companion could accept a shallow screw with a mag to let it attach to others. 2. This is a unique and weird idea O.O but add a nail file and cuticle trimmer to the mix. Not that I would use the trimmer o.O But it would allow me to justify my tool as "Nail care" far easier. I do use the hooks to clean under my nails at work enough that ppl now assume its for my nail polish hobby ;p Covert is subjective to blending in, anyone with nice nails could justify this remotely as nail stuff, remotely enough ppl do not look twice.
ОтветитьToday I realized that the Covert Instruments logo is an open door...
ОтветитьI have tensioning bars added to my covert companion, but for the life of me, I cannot add this rizz to my companion
ОтветитьWould it be an idea to have multiple rivpicks, each with a different set of picks? Like,
1. Set of hooks
2. Set of rakes
3. Set of div. useful picks
4. Not a rivpick but a turning tool set
Then you can simply select the rivpick that contains the pick you want and pick relatively comfortably like with a normal pick. You would need one covert companion handle, a number of differently configured rivpicks and the turning tools and you're good to go.
If picking locks wasn't hard enough already, my first challenge is putting together the Companion.
ОтветитьThe only system that feels like Legos. I dig it. 🤌🏾👍🏾🤙🏾
ОтветитьCould you please do an installation video like you did for the turning tool? I'm having trouble getting the pick to sit correctly in it's holder.
ОтветитьI need to know how to compile my slim tickler and existing covert companion all together! Hahaha I have a weird angle on mine and I have matching washer amounts on each side!
ОтветитьHow do you assemble the Riv-Pick for insertion into the set?
ОтветитьRemember, the FU Pick is not cool, but Racoon Dick Pick is.
ОтветитьIt would be nice if you go through a range of different types of locks and how to identify what type of lock it is and then which tool to best use on the covert companion
ОтветитьSorry, uh does the riv pick come with a 0.020" or a 0.025" pick?
Ответить
