Ответитьas soon as I saw Kechaud in the maloof clip….. maaaan.. RIP!!!
ОтветитьElementary school days (2001-2007) was all about X Games, THPS, Viva la Bam, Rob and Big, and the pre-fab park down the street.
ОтветитьMan, those were the golden days ❤
Thanks for this 👍🏻
While I think this video is really well done, anyone who wasn’t there really and saw this video wouldn’t understand the gravitas the 00s had for skateboarding. Literally turned pro skateboarders into pop culture icons. And local skateboarders into the cool kids over night.
ОтветитьBulky shoes are the shit these new shoes suck. The only good ones I've found are the nike ishod 2. All the rest that I have tried have been garbage
ОтветитьEm 2000s o bicho pegou, tem muita coisa dessa época que até hoje é mítico e nbds.
ОтветитьChris Cole was my favorite skater at this time and so was Zero with my Grind Kings trucks and my Etnis Arto
ОтветитьI like the nike zoom tre ad
ОтветитьBest shoes was ès Sal 23’s
Ответитьwhere tf is baker 3? that video was very influential
ОтветитьThis is my jam. I remember watching all those videos when they came out. Flip sorry and in bloom still my top two of all time. Alberta sucks but Cochrane park is pretty decent I back lipped that rail
ОтветитьLakai Kostons were hands down the best shoe and the Jah Balance Fiberlight was the best deck
ОтветитьAlmost Round Three changed my life man. Still watch it at least once a year.
ОтветитьIt'll be interesting to see what is said in the next decade. I remember being really involved in skateboarding from 2006-2014, and toward the end there was a huge push against Nike and the commercialization of Skateboarding by outside elements. Consolidated even released boards with pretty gnarly anti-nike graphics. A lot of the people I was around were talking about the death of style and how we'd inevitably have skateboarding as a job pathway to follow and not a passion to do. It's interesting seeing how people skate in the Olympics and to see that Woodward has a school now. While it pushes the envelope in one direction, I think it neglects the direction that guys like Ritchie Jackson and Gou Miyagi have historically filled.
ОтветитьWhich decade were big boards/ fat shoes / small wheels in? 90's 0r 2,000's?
ОтветитьI just recently turned 36, it was awesome to be teenager during this era. def miss it, i am not doing any skating nowadays but i still wear the shoes lol.
ОтветитьBorn in 89 and got to enjoy this shit growing up, Yeah Right, Fully Flared and Skate More were on repeat before every sesh, what a time 🙌🙌
Ответитьlol I would sit on the toilet looking at ccs and picking one item per page in my fantasy life 😂
ОтветитьI think some of your dates are off, I started skating in 04 and the prod didn’t drop til like a year or two later. I was in 6th grade when my skatepark got em.
ОтветитьY’all are lucky skateboarding came back in a major way.. I’ve been waiting 20 years for inline skating to come back in popularity 😢😢😢😢😢😢
ОтветитьVans XLT Geoff Rowley and Ryan Scheckler
ОтветитьThis video makes me nostalgic and sad but so happy all at once. Born in ‘92 so it was truly a great time and a defining moment in skateboarding and in my teenage childhood years. Nothing like small town skating
ОтветитьGreat video ! I had Cliché Bon appetit !
ОтветитьNeed the next decade! Let’s see the 2010s! The internet era, start of Instagram clips, start of influencer “pros”, the start of the social media era
ОтветитьCan someone please tell me what board this is ?!?!
I was gifted this deck as part of a contra trade for golf lessons in 2015 or 16. I eventually decided to grip it and skate it and I love some of the dimensions, but I hate the tail. can anyone tell me more about this deck please?! I can't find it on the Internet anywhere Internet anyway
It’s a Skate Mental Jack Curtin Pro model from I think about 2015 it has a golf club and two golf balls that form kind of a funny 2 meaning picture. 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Crazy for how long some Brands survived. Think never realy had a Top Tier Pro but stayed arround for almost 20 Years.
When i started most of the Brands were just created or werent createt at all.
There were also many short lived Board Company. 101, A Team, Platinum, Color, Prime.
Just found your stuff! So much knowledge with just some awesome humor❤ keep it up
ОтветитьLooking at boards my parents would never agree to buy from that CCS magazine! World Industries, Blind, Chocolate, Alien Workshop, Habitat, Zero, Hook-ups, Girl, Powell, Toy Machine, Birdhouse, Baker, Element, Almost, Anti-Hero, Enjoi, Real, Krooked, Flip, Zoo York, Dark Star, Black Label, etc!!

ОтветитьMan going to the mall with buddies to look at the World Industries decks and buy Hookups Stickers, then going back home and watching Flip Sorry, thinking I'd one day be a punk rocking Pro Skater even though I was afraid to Ollie 3 stairs those were the days ahah
ОтветитьOne if the reason people made money was vhs and DVD sale 90 to 2000 it was 20 dollars depending OK the 80s Stacy first real money came from the first skate videos the price was around 50 to 100 dollars for a vhs tape he sold 30 thousand think about that even at 50 dollars tape thats 30 k times 50 is um ok im dumb but it's a lot I believe that's probably when everyone seen real money can be made of those kids
ОтветитьFav skater was AR fav brand was baker.
Shocked you guys didn't talk about baker 3 that was a huge game changer
As a young millenial born in the early 90s this was my entire adolescence
ОтветитьAll those years was a time when I skated hard went on up to 2013 but just old and joints are fucked up. Still bedt time ever, I remember bootlegging videos on vcd because dvd players would play them, in bloom,, chomp on this, pj lads wonderful horrible life, dc video, the end all classics that inspired me. ОтветитьI hated nike sb! I loved Adio shoes and my board back then was Krown… but my fav real board brand was probably element. Mike V and Nijah Houston with dreads! Dennis B was on the cover of transworld and Adidas were selling like hot cakes. Oh, and freaking Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland and Route 66 a skate film, Capitan and kasey show, the Zoo York tour on Fuel tv. ❤
ОтветитьThis video could've been 2 hours and still not touch on everything but failure to mention "Chomp on this" video is a crime haha!
ОтветитьWho's your favourite 2000s skater? And what's your favourite 2000s brand?
Ответить
