All that overtime takes a toll on home life. It especially gets tough once a kid/kids are here. Not to mention she's going to want marriage at some point. Wouldnt surprise me if shes already knocking on that door. The number 1 avenue of wealth transfer to women is DIVORCE!! Men...pay attention.

Lol I work at the biggest electric utility company of NYC and over here we have underground grid systems so we have flush trucks to vacuum all the dirt from the manholes. Easy job u just operate the boom and it does all the work while u sit back and smoke a cigarette lol and we can make just as much as linemen too our top workers make 300k a year basically just driving a truck around the city cleaning holes easiest money ever made without a degree and don't got to do all this training you do as a linemen. The downsides is that you need to be in a city that has underground electric systems which are very few only so if you plan on moving around this trade won't take you far and better off with linemen which u can take anywhere around the world

As someone who was a lineman and made a lot of overtime never consider overtime as regular pay I always based what I could afford of my base pay.
