On a technical level, yes she has similarities to Whitney. But make no mistake, Whitney was on a whole different level of singing ability. Glennis sings beautifully, but she lacks the fire, drive, confidence, strength, dynamics, and generally everything that made Whitney Houston a great vocal artist. Give Glennis her flowers, but go back and watch the performances that made Whitney a legend. Big difference.

Yes. Glen is has a beautiful voice, the only flaw is her breath control, it just does not cut it imo. Christina Aguilera actually sang this song very well and her breath control was amazing. With Glennis, I actually hear her loud breath when she inhales, and iI hear it often with this particular song.

However, singing isn't a contest about who reaches the best high shot (Georgia Brown can sing G10....practically a whistle for dogs). It includes semitones, power, vibrato, interpretation, etc. In my opinion Whitney, Glennis, Mina and Laura are complete singers and their characteristics made them unique and beautiful.
