This vid will come in handy. Just picked up leatherworking on my hunter yesterday.
ОтветитьLove it ❤️
ОтветитьI’ve been off and on into leather over the past few years. Recently my grandpa has had a bad turn on his health and I got all his leather working tools. I’m ready to get back into it and will definitely check out your channel!
ОтветитьSurprised the Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village hasn't snapped the crew for an exhibition or two.
ОтветитьAaw. I did leather working as a kid. I miss it.
ОтветитьI've been making shoes and a bag out of leather and I can't wait to apply this with some of my tools (and hopefully some of my grandpas)!
ОтветитьVery nice. Very old school. I use a swivel knife but your way seems much better. I’ve never seen carving with a short knife, must try it as I really don’t like swivel knives , my finger always slips forward making it a real pain to keep on line. This is the first time I’ve seen your videos, must see them all so I can learn something new. Greetings from Australia. Robert.
ОтветитьSo cool!!
ОтветитьI could see an engraved brass or silver piece looking really nice to catch the leather flap.
ОтветитьWait wait that intro song was in strong hold 2!!
ОтветитьDo you have a pattern available for this wallet?
ОтветитьWhy no beveling or burnishing on the project? I'm curious if that was not a process that would've been done during frontier times.
ОтветитьI'm getting into leather work. Did you finish it with Bees wax?
ОтветитьLove the Stronghold themesong
ОтветитьWhat kind of smith isn't, this man?
ОтветитьGreat
ОтветитьDoing anything episode on how to oak tan your own leather would just complete the circle of all the leather you use on the homestead from these wallets for your bellows being able to get 100% from scratch
ОтветитьWow...extraordinary craftsmanship...great job.
ОтветитьThank you very much.
Ответить👌👌👌👌
ОтветитьWhenever I can’t sleep I watch a few of these videos, interesting, educational and relaxing enough to put you to sleep 😴
ОтветитьThis is wonderful. I’ve been binge watching all day and have learn so much. Thank y’all SO MUCH.
Ответитьsou do brasil e adimiro muito o seu talento é uma arte incrivel
ОтветитьI can only do belts and a single slot wallet! Nice work!
ОтветитьI love these historical leather projects! Where would I find the patterns?
ОтветитьWhat An Outstanding video as always Brother!! Peace 👍👍💪💪💪💪💪✌✌
ОтветитьThis channel feels like grandma's kitchen.
ОтветитьSo that's why Half Life 3 never came out. Gabe became an leather working artisan! Joking aside, I've been watching these videos with my mom and we're loving these more craft oriented videos. However we initially started this channel for the cooking videos!
ОтветитьI'd be interested in seeing a video on how they would have "copied" these patterns so that when they wore out one in a project or two, they'd have more to use.
ОтветитьI’m looking for a tracing stylist such as the one used in this video, but after a lot of searching I’ve come up empty handed. Is there a store that stocks this type of stylist. I feel like ballpoint would tear through paper easier and I’d prefer to use paper patterns
Ответитьintro music = stronghold 2 music :))
ОтветитьVery nice
ОтветитьI missed this one!
Thanks for linking this in the recent horn video.
Takes me back to Jr. High shop class.
ОтветитьVery cool video but am I the only one bothered by the candle in the background scorching the shelf above?
ОтветитьYou'd be able to pin it down without making a mark on the leather when tracing by simply leaving a couple spots that stick out from the leather underneath that can be cut off after the design is transferred.
ОтветитьA background punch. I figured that you cut away the leather at the surface, thinning it. I didn't think that you compressed it. Interesting. Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьHello:
I LOVE that you didn't go all 20th. century with a pear shader and veiner, and still came away with an exquisite looking piece of period leather art, my compliments. I've got all the tools, and I've been trying to do leather tooling for 30 years with no success, congratulations on a great job.

ОтветитьI'm envious of your skill!
Ответить🇧🇷
ОтветитьI hate decoration.
ОтветитьAnother splendid meditation to watch.
Ответитьdoes the retail website have a set of the tools used in the video ? i would like to try leatherworking.
ОтветитьI just got some 2/3 oz. and 4/5 oz. veg-tan and I want to make this wallet. What are your dimensions?
ОтветитьThank You ...
