Anker SOLIX C1000 Power Station: Premium Mid-Range Performance Without Breaking the Bank?

Will this power a regular size box fan for when the power goes out? And how long will it last roughly?

@ReeWray outdoors can you charge the C1000 using that car port you used to discharge it? And if so how fast would it charge? How many watts can it take from the car port?

Thank you for this review, finaly a proper UPS test minus one thing. When you plug main's back on does it start running off mains power again for the load and charging the battery (like a proper UPS) as I had seen some upset users having used "power stations" as UPS only to find out they never turn mains power back on and just keep draining the battery even once power is restored.

I took the risk being that this is currently $430 vs the $650 of the Delta 3 that I know works.
Deal even better w/ panel $700 for the C1000 w/ panel vs $1000 for the Delta 3 /w panel.

I just got the 'X' version in the UK and it works well other than it seems you can not use the inverter and top up the batteries at the same time. That makes its use for camping a lot more limited if you can't make use of the sun and use the power station output. No AC Power when DC charging :(

A year ago you tested the audio noise with a Fender, which was very quiet with the Bluetti.
The Crate amp was noisy even with the AC, on the Anker. Was the Fender quieter on the Anker?
I’ve cancelled the Anker based upon your findings, will be powering a Bose PA and thinking about the Bluetti instead?

Be wary of the Anker ToS:
If you want full functionality (wireless connectivity, which is needed for firmware updates).

Per section 17, any disputes are "governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China". If a dispute arises, it will be done "in accordance with the rules of the Shenzhen International Arbitration Court". "The language of the arbitration shall be Chinese." and "The place of arbitration shall be Shenzhen, China."

In section 18. They can update the ToS at any time and the ToS "shall be deemed effective upon the sending by us of an email". They can put whatever [insert unimaginable terms here] they want and you have preemptively agreed to them.

Thank you for a great review. I just got a C1000 and have it powering our portable ham radio station. The station is a Yaesu FTdx10 powered with a Kenwood 15 amp DC switching power supply. My testing has not resulted in any noise from the C1000 and I'm quite impressed with the power station. We will be using it for Parks on The Air all summer charging with a 200w solar array. So far it looks like we can get a full day (6 to 8) hours of operation from the station. Very happy! Oh by the way I did test for noise with my Fender Blues Jr guitar amp and found it had no more noise on the power station than it has on grid power. Again great review and very comprehensive.

Have you tested your ac outlets for proper wiring? Mine came in at hot neutral reversed.

I have both the Anker C1000, and the Bluetti AC180. With the AC180 at 100% charge, the UPS function shows the same wattage on input and output, and the Bluetti remains at 100% charge. Using the Anker C1000 plugged into the wall with a load, once the battery reaches 100% charge, the input stops until the charge drops to 99%. How is that a UPS mode when it appears that the battery is constantly being charged and discharged between 99 and 100%? Has anyone else noticed this on the Anker CS1000? I have 2 units and they both work this way.

In my opinion the biggest benefit of the 58-minute charge time is quick recharge from generator! It's more fuel efficient, and annoying for a shorter period of time. :)

As always very thorough review. If the EcoFlow Delta 2 and the Anker Solix c1000 would have launched on the same day I would have bought the Anker over the EcoFlow. I love that all the ports are in the front instead of on the sides. Also it is much more efficient. The price difference is negligible and furthermore this offers UPS vs EPS like Ecoflow products. Do you know if this unit will power a 12V diesel heater? I have had complaints from friends that their power stations will not power a diesel heater due to the out put of the 12V port even though it is regulated. Maybe this is another feature you could consider in your testing if you own a diesel heater.

You are doing the UPS test with nothing else connected to the power station. When doing these UPS tests with the laptop computer that has no battery backup it would be interesting to see if the UPS still performs as well if say another device or devices are plugged into other outlets on the device at the same time using will say 60 to 70 percent of the wattage rated inverter at the same time while the computer is connected. Will the computer stay on while the power switches over or will there be enough flicker to shut the computer down? Who knows. Still a great thorough review.

Anker is known for quality. I have two Anker power bricks for phone charging, but my brother, recently added an Anker F3800 with two BP3800 expansion batteries to his home setup, and is well pleased with them.

I have an Anker small power unit and several cell phone chargers. Quality is in their name.
