One time i went with a friend to the mechanic to have his exhaust done and afterwards when hes paying the guy he goes "do you guys buy cats?" And my dumb ass thought he was talking about the kittens around his house so i blurt out "dude he doesnt want your kittens" and everyone laughed, good times lol
ОтветитьI'll do you one better, NEVER BUY A BMW: German, expensive, unreliable JUNK.
ОтветитьGot my x5 4.8i the e70 model alternator was 1500$ and brakes and tires were another almost 1000$ but after that it’s absolutely perfect
ОтветитьOne of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen imo. Love that it had manual option too.
ОтветитьYou make these cars look worse than they really are, for 1500 that is a fun ass off road vehicle
ОтветитьMy moms got a 2006 X5 with the 3.0i in it and it’s got over 250,000 miles on it and still going strong
ОтветитьFirst and last time listening to this whiny guy.
ОтветитьThat thing sounded excellent disconnected like that! Should have piped it and fixed the little stuff and just kept adding oil until it got ridiculous.
Ответить02 x5 3.0l 300k still going strong
ОтветитьBought one with 224633 miles runs good and strong
ОтветитьIt's far superior to you American crap
ОтветитьAny car that isn't looked after will have issues. If you fixed the suspension it would ride okay. You are he'll bent on failing this vehicle
ОтветитьThat modena blue e53 with a valvetronic v8 is the last car to be talking sh.t about. You may do so about the previous owners though.
ОтветитьTake care of your car and it will take care of you. I guarantee you this car was behind on every recommended service prob used regular gas never replaced any fluids. Ect.
ОтветитьIMHO it looks like you found one of those beautiful cars that was obviously not maintained at all and exploited it for a video and cheap content 👎
Ответить5 years ago I bought a '03 BMW X5 with 158,000 miles on it. Since then I've put 56,000 on it with zero problems. Gotta love German engineering!
ОтветитьGrowong up my mom had the 4.4 x5 and my dad had a same era benz e500. The interior wuality in the bmw was far and away higher quality. And the e500 was a pretty high spec car. I own the x5 now 21 years later and shes doing great.
ОтветитьStill one of Hoovies most entertaining videos.
ОтветитьAny car has the same problems as he mentioned on this BMW. Straight up breaking the mirror and removing interior buttons is not the cars fault. Window off the track? Thats a first I heard of that with a x5. Same with door handle. He hates this car so much he went and bought another one lol. Even had his mechanic look at it as he said on the vid. Again, every car has problems. Doesn't matter the make, model and year. Doesn't matter if it breaks before or after warranty. Cars are built poorly with parts that have a limited life expectancy. Government forces auto makers to build with recyclable materials and built with biodegradable materials. So, in conclusion. As he mentioned in the vid. It's only his opinion, nothing more......
ОтветитьI just don’t understand the fascination people have with BMWs. The seem like to me they have become one of the worst cars you can buy right up there with Range Rover. Its and over engineered heap CHEAP plastic with a ridiculous price tag when new with some of the worst depreciation. It also emits such a douchy, snobby image. Terrible vehicles for people who are bad with money but like to show off and are easily amused.
ОтветитьBMWs are mechanical money pits, bad resale caused by overcomplicated and poor engineering.
ОтветитьAmazing work guys!
You friend is a Moroccan right? Very humble and skilled guy
So basically bmw is shit but none of the drivers take care of their cars all a bunch of basic maintenance issues never addressed
ОтветитьOne doesn't deserve a BMW if you do not properly maintain it. Just like any family member you have to give time and get to know your car.
ОтветитьGot given one... it was 2 or 3 years old... Was also given the merc. Funny how i just watched a video of him recently saying life was tough for him. Talk about out of touch with reality. What next a gofundme for his friend... oh wait...
ОтветитьDon’t forget about that moonroof that won’t close (its so common, they give you a special tool to crank it closed manually😂) and the most annoying squeak in the world from the rear. Oh…and i almost forgot, most importantly, the water leaking into the inside of the cars footwells (from the faulty design of those A and B pillars that BMW refuses to fix). BMW=Bring My Wallet…😂
ОтветитьShops like that are robbery that door handle is an easy fix literally 10 min to get door card off and often just needs cliping in plus window is easy air bag shocks are like £60 each and 30 min to replace
Lower arms i just done and rear ball joints plus intergral arms plus bonnet/hood cable was all really easy done in less than a day cats you could clean out they'd be fine.
I wouldnt bother with the v8 in the uk we have the 3.0d m57 mine is mapped to 300hp and its fantastic engine is literally bomb proof these are great cars.
If in the us get the 3.0 petrol
I lusted after a 4.8is. then I got one. silver, with a red interior. it was brilliant for about 2 years then the problem started finally the head gasket went, turned out there was a hole in tbe block between cylinders. coolant system is shitty plastic
ОтветитьWhat year x5 is being reviewed here?
Ответитьit's worth mentioning edition years. It makes a huge difference. not all x5 are the same.
ОтветитьI just bought a 2005 BMW X5 (3.0) for $5500 (Canada) with 209k kms. Close up, the car is mint inside and out; it drives very well, apart from wheel shake. The previous owner was not very mechanical, and not a very careful driver. The car is shod with oem black BMW alloys which have been curbed a few times. This is all fixable. As a certified auto mechanic, now happily retired for many years, when I bought the Bimmer for the price given, I wasn't expecting perfection, and for another $4000 or less, I expect to end up with a very nice car for under $10,000. The air filter looked as if it had never been changed in the entire life of the car, and the valve cover leaks oil. A common fault. All fixable. The presenter was honest enough to admit to being an over-indulged brat, fairly typical of young BMW owners...the very worse kind, acting big-shot on Daddy's money.
ОтветитьNot valve stem seals, it would be burning oil 24/7 so bad that the plugs can’t burn it off which is why it isn’t a constant misfire, could be right with scoring. 😊
ОтветитьTaling about 3.0d, it is very worth it, every penny, these things never die, legendary m57, peak of german engineering :)
ОтветитьThe diesel's are a nightmare with timing chain problems
ОтветитьHow tall is ninja? Lol
ОтветитьBMW 530i owner since December 2019 (Car registered March 2018). Driven 78k km and just replaced the brake disc/rotors, pads and front swing arms. It will last me another 10 years without issues because I drive it sensibly and maintain the car with love and attention. I can afford any repairs on it because the joy in owning a nice car is something else.
ОтветитьThis car is 20+ years old and nobody ever did anything about it. What do you expect. For any car you repair things when needed. This previous owner did the absolute minimum. The exhaust incl Cat you can easily get for 1000 to 1500 Eur. That shop was also part of the problem. I'm driving a 20 year old e60 and paid 3000 Eur for all services and maintenances since 2009.
Ответить1000 basically nothing...yeah not for 99%
ОтветитьWow parts prices are crazy expensive in the US.
ОтветитьHahahahah. Alle my Friends are dissapointed with BMW X5. They are good only as new Car, about 80.000-100.000km The End with Fun
ОтветитьI sadly won a bid at the auction for one.. Alot of things are breaking every day.. including water flowing inside like a waterfall
ОтветитьThis dude is the definition of "Trust Fund Baby".
ОтветитьGet the 3.0 6 cylinder E53 and you're in much better shape. They have standard issues but that V8 is junk.
ОтветитьThanks for saving me $20K.
ОтветитьProbably u only paid for da junk 300 bucks bro
Ответитьjust say that the previous owner didnt take care of it lmao
ОтветитьPremise of this video. 1. Let’s go buy the most neglected X5 we can find. 2. Complain about the condition of the car we bought. 3. Bring to a high end OCD specialty mechanic to assess what it will take to make as new. 4. Say “see how bad BMW are”
Bad form and not fair representation at all.
Entertaining though.
Perfect daily drivers. But just one day. Day drivers
Ответитьrich people so spoiled .
