I’m guessing you bought a Martin
😎🎸🎶☮️
I just purchased a Ibanez AA50 for $249. Solid wood. I played it against a Martin D18. Same strings. They sound identical. The Martin was over $2,000. What am I missing here?
ОтветитьWhat do all acoustics have in common? They are uncomfortable are hard to maintain in the desert and Piezo electrics sounds like crap. I found my dream acoustic, Fender Highway Dread.
ОтветитьIt's my understanding that the original idea of a parlour guitar was to have a guitar that you could just throw behind your sofa or chuck to one side when not in use, basically a guitar that doesn't matter much and doesn't take up too much space but is still good to practice on. And so if a small bodied guitar costs more than £600-$800 then in my opinion it's simply not a parlour guitar regardless of shape or size etc. Realistically speaking cheap classical guitars of all sizes have become the new parlour guitar for quite a few decades as they serve the original purpose and concept of the traditional parlour guitar, and it's far more common to see a person/persons with an old cheap classical guitar that they sometimes mess around on plonked somewhere in their living rooms than any other style of guitar.
ОтветитьI think I preferred the Maple with his voice actually. I was not expecting to like that one at all, but it was my fav for him.
ОтветитьWhat size/body style was the guitar that Noah bought?
Ответитьgo OFF Guthrie!! I like mahogony spruce for solo playing, but it outcompetes the parlor
ОтветитьI like the maple for accompanying him. Theres a roundness in the b and e strings that doesnt stand out. It blends perfectly and doesn't announce itself as prominently
ОтветитьI’m a young singer songwriter who’s been playing small venues and I can truly say we aspire to be like Noah, he is special and his voice is insanely good
ОтветитьThe Maple Back/Spruce Top sounded the best to me. I tend to like mellower sounding acoustics for the most part and when you’re playing emotional, singer-songwriter-y stuff like this I think it’s the best fit in terms of tone. Great video.👍
ОтветитьAmazing voice, money can't buy
ОтветитьThose two guitars really complimented each other !!!
ОтветитьWhere can i buy a Santa Cruz om for "4700 bucks" ill take two!
ОтветитьWhat’s the name of the song they did the duo too
ОтветитьIronicly leaving California is a joy. I wait patiently for the day
ОтветитьWith that booming voice, I think he needs a dreadnought ! Voice is overpowering the om.
ОтветитьA lot of great guitars out there wow wow a lot .I am from Australia and follow brett here and rick beato but gotta add ,, a most of what you are trying to sell me ,,well we kill you i play and own a number of Cole Clark guitars what i see here does not hold any sort of candle what do we acoustic players do ? we play thru our pa systems brett you of all people should know this and well check it out ... well 19 grand from a guitar like wow not going to happen ,,, spend 1500 american and buy a cole clark ,, best unit to push your pa ,, none better check them out you will not be disappointed
ОтветитьWell, that guy has one hell of a voice.
ОтветитьWow! Whata voice, just amazing. Great playing. Awesome guitars. You 2 need to crash guitar stores and put on concerts like this video. Inspired for sure
ОтветитьRhett, I'm hearing a lot about Zager guitars, and how they compare to Martin and Taylor, yet 1/3 the cost. If possible, can you do a video on a Zager?
ОтветитьIt is crazy how much Noah looks like Kevin smith
ОтветитьWhat model was that Gallagher??? Also is the parlor a Boucher?? Thanks
ОтветитьI feel that the parlor guitar should stay in the parlor. There is not enough depth to help fill out the sound of Noah's guitar. It's similar to eq'ing out the mid and lows.
Ответитьneed to hear the duo with the different woods
ОтветитьNice review, but how about the taylor?
ОтветитьSkip the 12 stringer.. tuning issues a total pain
ОтветитьGreat voice !! Any of those guitars sound good.
ОтветитьWhat an enjoyable presentation. I definitely heard the differences and understood well how The Gallagher in this case fit his singing best. Once you both started playing I got the goose bumps.sounded kinda likable a 12-string. Thanks for sharing 🙏😊
ОтветитьThe two Santa Cruz sounded almost exactly the same. Imo, maker and construction methods/techniques account for more of the sound than the woods, or almost. A D18 and a J45 have the same back and sides and tops, but sound completely different, for instance.
ОтветитьHaha I didn’t realize it was Noah Guthrie until he started to sing. I remember when this kid was singing sexy and I know it haha
ОтветитьI’m late to the party, but that Gallagher would be my vote, and Noah has picked up a new fan.
ОтветитьSanta Cruz guitars! I’m from Santa Cruz!
ОтветитьEveryone plays guitar lol
ОтветитьVery cool and very informative. All great guitars, but I liked the tone of the Gallagher best. Thanks, Rhett
ОтветитьI just need it to be cheap.
ОтветитьDude. Noah sounds good!
Ответитьgreetings from new Subcriber
❤🫶🏻❤ greetings from Panama
Thought for many months on what I wanted for my last guitar. I could not afford a Mandolin Brothers Custom Martin D-41 Turbo Brazilian or a D-28 GE. (Too much bling and I don't play well enough to buy a guitar like that.) I liked the D-28 1937 Authentic, but at that time, no adjustable truss rod... and very expensive. So... I bought a 2008 Martin D-28 Marquis. I made some adjustments to it... Waverly Tuners, Ivory unslotted pins with slots cut in the bridge, had the saddle sit freely rather than glued in, hide glue for the bridge and added a K&K Pure Mini (with Sound wheel). I run it through a Zoom A3 preamp. The Pre Amp was a must in order to get the true acoustic sound. Had it put on a PLEK machine. Totally love it. Play it every day. If I ever get near Brian Kimsey's shop I may have the 2 back rear braces shaved. Scared to do it myself.
ОтветитьGuys so underrated. 4700$ tho ouch.
ОтветитьDat thumbnail tho 😩 LOL
Ответитьmaple one sounds dope
ОтветитьCan I get a model number and Link for that parlor?
Ответитьwell i liked the smaller brown one ,the one that sounded better to me
Ответитьwhat i hear is it doesn't fkn matter.
ОтветитьThat Gallagher is amazing!
ОтветитьDepending on the vocalist, acoustic guitar and vocal pairing can be very important or not that significant. I think with a voice like Noah's he can make THAT voice work with any guitar, but on his songs where the vocal is quieter it can be really tricky.... Generally, the qualities a flat-picker looks for in a guitar, like say a canon, Martin HD38V can be challenging to sing over because the guitar is going to try and steal the spotlight with every strum... A lot of singer-songwriters gravitate to guitars with less volume and more mid-range focus like the J-45 or mahogany options like the Martin 000-15m or Guild D20... There is no way possible to answer what's right for a certain player without doing a proper demo like this in a quiet showroom... If you're trying to take performing seriously, it's worth a drive out, even if that drive is hours away, to arrange some time, demo and find the right one.
ОтветитьFound it, it's called Feel it Now
ОтветитьWhat's the name of the song played in the Duo, Noah's voice is incredibly good 👍 👌 great playing too
ОтветитьGreat vocals…. “Leaving California” ….not before me😂
