Actually I was the one doing that you were the one vicariously experiencing and now you are trying to communicate about what you think you know
ОтветитьOk now to test the theory
Ответитьso that means it is possible to shrink and grow matter, wonder how that affects literally everything in the universe lol. Imagine a human sized atom.
ОтветитьIt is 3am bruh why am I watching this.
ОтветитьFirstly this video is great and i love the way in which you are approaching it axiomatically.
Having fiddled a bit with general relativity myself. When it comes to looking at this from the perspective of general relativity you would probably run into large issues to do with the topological discontinuities caused by the boundary of your portal. I would suggest attempting to look at morris-thorne wormhole geometries as they are already defined to be solutions to einsteins theories of general relativity.
I myself attempted to build a raytracing engine for a simple morris-thorne wormhole but had an issue with defining the action of light at the throat. Your axiom has probably fixed that.
Hm. There are 2 misconceptions I can find in this video.
1. The donut shape part. This only works if both portals are stationary. Moving them should probably be different.
2. The size. I was jever show a shape that can be cut and give portals of different sizes. And the shape of the object changes as it goes through the portal. In real life this could be seen as the density of an 9bject increasing/decreasing or matter coming from nowhere. Unless the object falls apart into a pool of elementary quarks/atoms after teleportation
So you should jump into the portal or you’ll end on the pocket dimension void.
ОтветитьI kind of disagree with the premise of this video. You're not placing portals within portals, you're bringing curved portals closer together such that light gets trapped between them because of their shape. If we consider the entire structure a "portal" than I suppose technically you're correct in that definition, just as we can put a bowl in another bowl without them touching, but at that point it just seems like semantics.
Don't get me wrong, this was a cool video, but I don't think it quite matches the spirit of the original "portal in a portal" inquiry. The folding simulation bit is neat tho.
my brain is brutally being fried while watching thus
Ответитьwhat program is this?
ОтветитьWhat would a spherical portal look like? Like when it’s assembled into a “doorway” like what you usually do, it would just be regular empty space.
Ответитьwhat program is this

ОтветитьIn GSL Code, I tried to convert flat portal into hemispherical portals to create the first time a pocket dimension, but nothing happend to me. Please, make an video that explains how to create hemispherical portal, and also make the site of Portal Explorer where everyone can enter here where the portals are already hemispherical, is rotatable in XYZ Axis, and can use settings (in Control Scene) to change size of one of the portals. The portals in this site has to get settings also in Control Scene to make it flat or more hemispherical.
Ответитьbro is cave johnson
ОтветитьQuestion, what would happen if 2 portals were connected but did not have the same surface
ОтветитьI like your videos optozorax
Ответитьone way to think about how option A could work is it's a scanner printer portal, why would the momentum be preserved when it's printed? but it does mean that it would become a completely flat plane when the portal is used so that would happen :P
ОтветитьNew fear unlocked.
ОтветитьI wish portals existed and this was useful information
ОтветитьWhy are you assuming portals would exist as flat 2D plains instead of 3D spheres? Pretty sure the pocket dimensions and empty black voids you are describing and visualizing here rely on this seemingly completely baseless assumption.
Ответитьwhat would happen if you put a portal inside a portal inside a portal inside a portal?
ОтветитьFrom what I can understand, you’re expecting how logical the TARDIS is.
ОтветитьI theorize that the black space of the pocket dimension would be some sort of inverted dimension. Either where all darkness roams compared to light, or everything small is huge.
ITMS
What if U put a third portal in that? But 2 of them is in one and what if u put a 4th one and a 5th one? Does it make more dimensions of pocket dimension?
ОтветитьThere is something about this that is unbelievably amazing and fascinating but it also fills me with an unexplainable feeling of dread kinda like watching space curve as you fall into a blackhole, if theres a phobia of backholes i pribably have it lol
ОтветитьАхуеть, Илья! Awesome Educational video

Ответить2D portal surfaces are fun, but 3D surfaces seem more realistic. I don't think this is the same as a spherical portal surface.
ОтветитьBut like if it’s flat there is no space
Ответитьhey lets fuck with the laws of physics... and then fuck with it even more :)
ОтветитьThis feels like the second day of class on a eldritch college.
"How to turn your portals to a pocket dimension"
твоё произношение это чёт страшное ахахахаха
аж слушать неприятно
lets say these portals exist in a universe with atoms
one portal is smaller than the other and we put the smaller portal into the bigger portal to make a pocket dimension,
if we put an object into the bigger portal and then put it through the smaller portal which is inside the bigger portal, then the object it self becomes bigger
if we take it outside the portal's pocket dimension, what happens
because the object it self would have atoms bigger than regular atoms
and what if the opposite is done so we have atoms smaller than regular atoms
So this is the entrance to the backrooms
ОтветитьIf you put something in pocket realm it will become nothing
ОтветитьBut there is endlessness in the 2 portal pocket dimension, what if there was a third (conical or similarly shaped) portal whose cone axis follows the parts of the 2 portals with least/ no amount of light and then you place a 4th portal into that one?
PS: There is limited movement in the non conical planes but in the conical direction I think the the smaller portal could go on and on into the stretched 3rd portal
on the spatial circle-moving portals, i think that they actually do work the same as flat portals, as you said the only part that teleports is the surface, so the "circle movement" is actually just the light and when the object does actually enter the portal then it would be launched in a straight line as expected, the trippy thing is that there is no visual indicator for the end of the portal
ОтветитьDo you know what I found funny about this? This works flawlessly as a "bag-of-holding" type spatial-storage, but shows that "inventory" type spatial-storages are unfeasible even with portals. Suppose you have an object inside the pocket dimension, then you remove the smaller portal from it, what happens? Well, as the smaller portal moves, the limit where the portals grow larger and larger goes from being farther and farther behind the smaller portal to being farther and farther ahead of it, so the object gets catapulted out... And the further the object goes, the greater it's velocity relative to the portal and the smaller it's size, when the velocity is scaled to the compression of space, you find the objects are all ejected, scaled down to fit, all with the same velocity, simultaneously as soon as the smaller portal exits the bigger one.
Turning a bag of holding inside out not only does eject your whole inventory out of it, it does so... in a much safer manner than one would imagine...
Assumed plastic bag?
ОтветитьThe way he says “portal” is so soothing
ОтветитьDoesn't having different sized portal contradicts an axiom ? Objects become smaller/bigger after going through one of them, thus having a "before" and "after" the portal. Also, I think the physics wouldn't allow for an object to chage size like that.
The whole pocket dimension might not be possible ...
What website does he use
