The media’s reporting has been terrible, and they wonder why their ratings keep dropping.We expect so much more with our news outlets! Give it all! Do they not realize that we’re watching the trial daily, just like they are? Many of us have read the full transcript, and yet their coverage continues to leave out key details.

The News conveniently fail to mention the discrepancies in Bryana Bongolan’s testimony—how her timeline of the alleged balcony incident doesn’t align with Diddy’s travel records, and how metadata from her injury photos raises questions about when they were actually taken. They also ignore the issues surrounding Jane Doe’s statements, including her admission that she continued participating in “hotel nights” despite claiming she wanted out, and the fact that she still receives financial support from Diddy under their verbal agreement.

And if Bryana Bongolan lied in her testimony, that means Cassie lied and blackmailed her way into a settlement. If the media expects people to trust their reporting, they need to start being honest about the full scope of the case instead of selectively pushing narratives.

The most frustrating part of this entire story is how they choose outsiders to deep dive into our culture instead of actually listening to voices from within it. In the world we live in, the narrative is predictable—the Black man is cast as the villain, while the beautiful non-Black women are framed as million-dollar victims, claiming financial abuse. The pattern is tired, the selective storytelling is blatant, and the refusal to acknowledge the complexities of the situation is just disappointing.
