And this is why I'll never be a great chef. Decent home cook? Sure. But I do not have the time, patience, or desire to spend 4 hours making 1 dish that I could get 80% of the flavor in 1/8 of the time and 1/20 the effort.
ОтветитьDelicious! That remid me of another fantastic and simpler French potato dish called "Pommes de terre sarladaises". Only potatoes, duck fat and garlic. 👌
ОтветитьWow that looks so delicious!❤
ОтветитьLooks delicious 😋 but hell might has well walk yourself to the cardiology department at the hospital after eating this
ОтветитьMaybe if I had a personal chef that needed something to do. I don’t know that the reward is worth the time and effort.
ОтветитьWOW
ОтветитьNice recipe but it's a Ronney kick to the liver. 😆
Ответитьwhat size and type is the pan - thanks
ОтветитьMy cholesterol went up just looking at this.
ОтветитьSo your calling a dish you created the best in the world..K..a chef with a gigantic ego how refreshing..😊
ОтветитьLooks great, the only draw back is the time.
ОтветитьWOW !That looks Great I will definitely try making this ⭐
ОтветитьWhere is meat here?
Ответитьpan full of poison. just eat the butter.
ОтветитьI made traditional Poutine 🇨🇦🙋♀️
ОтветитьIs there a cheese version of the dish?
ОтветитьSo the only instruction you missed is how long does it go in at 130 AFTER you’ve removed the paper. I believe it was the third time it went into the oven, but you didn’t say how long it was in there.
ОтветитьBest potato dish is poutine from quebec wym
ОтветитьAdd cheese. It looks like nachos. Maybe sour cream on top (and chives).
ОтветитьFabulous dish. I can see why, at the start of this video, he is so proud. It’s a little difficult. The onions, when you are done, will not look like his. The dish, when you pull it out the fourth time, will not look like his. It takes patience, and at elevation, takes more time. Be more sparingly on the ladling of the beef broth; it takes a long time to reduce. When it’s done, it is fantastic, but there are literally 100 great potato dishes that take half to a third as much time.
ОтветитьIs your town the home of Lancashire pie? That was a favorite of US President Andrew Johnson?
ОтветитьPersonally, it sounds terrible! Potatoes baked in a liquid over mushy onions...? The whole thing sounds weird I'm sorry...a beef broth? Mushy potatoes and butter in between....? I LOVE experimenting w potatoes but think I'll pass on this one ..
ОтветитьCan this be done without beef stock?
ОтветитьOh man. I’m so trying this, just with Earth Balance and veggie stock. Looks like it’ll go great with sautéed mushrooms and a roasted garlic, onion and pepper medley.
ОтветитьI totally thought from the thumbnail, this was mike birbiglia.
ОтветитьDo these pagans even know what olive oil is?
ОтветитьIs Tom Hanks ?
ОтветитьI'd love to be a chef but the idiot on the drums that follows you around all day would annoy the hell out of me.
ОтветитьNice i could make this with some vegetables in between the layers like eggplant or courgette hmm
ОтветитьWho on Earth has the time to do all that work?
ОтветитьThat looks great. Looking forward to trying that, I can see it requires patience!
ОтветитьSomeday I’ll be able to taste something like that ☺️💭
But wait! It’s only potatoes, onions, butter and stuff… So I can do this home with only 20 hours of time 😃
What a unique show! I enjoy all your detail that results in perfection, along with the explanations. I never thought about using a cartouche over the potatoes. I'm not much of a onion eater, but this technique intrigues me. Very nice presentation. You're a true artist.😊
ОтветитьExcellent work.
From a Frenchman
"I dont think there's a better potato than that, on the face, of PLANET EARTH" I would have to agree. Holy hell man.
ОтветитьThe temperatures are crap!!! You will NEVER achieve the results depicted in thise video without temps over 190C
ОтветитьThis "recipe" shows why you should never trust a British "chef" - they only know how to boil food!
ОтветитьI would eat the entire thing in one sitting, right out of the pan. It looks so perfect! 😭
ОтветитьThis is a cardiologist nightmare but I'm sure it is delicious. I will definitely make one for the kids. You gotta die for something 😊
ОтветитьI'll have 5 plates please!! Also Chef. May I have some aged Sharp cheddar? Yes, thank you.
ОтветитьGreat vid
ОтветитьWatching this made me frustrated
ОтветитьIf i would ad mushrooms and bacon in the unions. Would i need to do something different in this process?
ОтветитьI'm going to give someone an aneurysm, but I thought this was potatoes au gratin off the thumbnail...
ОтветитьBeautiful!♥️
ОтветитьWhat a lovely recipe! I copied it to the recipe file in my notes app along with the video. I’m looking forward to making it, it looks delicious. Thank you!
ОтветитьWhen you truly like potatoes nothing beats a perfectly baked potato with a bit of butter and salt. So, you can taste the potato. Yum!
ОтветитьJacques Pepin! The Master! ♥
