The title should be "Is the EV dream dead," it is grammatically incorrect.

Chinese = cut corners and just cheap copies of other products.

I will never buy an Electric Vehicle because of the Following :
People leave on a 2 week Vacation, and the EV unplugged for fear of it burning down the House... I the battery drains and the Cooling system for the batteries stops.. then the heat in summer causes the Battery to Expand, and Crimp the Cooling System to rupture the cooling and Battery Packs . The mix of water and Lithium - ion causes Pyrotechnic Effects fires occur.
EV's battery packs get hot if car is not plugged in it will expand and crimp the cooling tubers, which will mix with the Lithium - ion cells causing a chemical reaction .. Fire Pyrotechnic effects. 👩🏻‍🚀🤘🏻🏎🏎🚩🚩🌲🌲⛰⛰🧗🏻 V8 Mustang is less Toxic to the Environment too.. In 30 years or so the Engine is easily Re-Forged into a new Engine or something else... Not the Same for EV's they are toxic to air and Ground water to mine and toxic to Ground water when the battery cell goes bad. There were 4 Lithium -ion Battery Cell Recycling Centers, and none are in the State of California, because of the Environmental Impact. 1 location in Pheonix ARIZONA burned for 6 to 10 days.., Water and Lithium-ion mix causes Pyrogenic results..
I lived 3 months without a car this year and you couldn't give me an Electric Vehicle ( EV) .clean the air while they work ( 2 to 4 years )
V8's forever
1 lived for 3 months without a vehicle due to someone hitting my car.. there video of it in here. You could try giving me a car and $100,000, I will still rejected it then and now.. My current V8 would be less than the Taxes on the EV, and $100,000 gift. Cost less insure it too. Shifting with the 3rd Fun Pedal forever.

EVs are simply NOT ready to replace hybrids, which are much more practical for the average single vehicle household. Hybrids are essentially unaffected by high and low ambient temperatures and ease and speed of refueling.
And according to the Wall St. Journal, hybrids retain their values far better than EVs.
Consumer Reports magazine's owner data shows that hybrids, particularly those made by Toyota/Lexus, are more reliable that both EVs and pure ICE vehicles.

EV's, an illogical solution to an imaginary problem. The problems with EV's are range, price, infrastructure, repair cost, battery replacement cost, used ev's with batteries that could have damage. There are probably a hundred more reasons to keep ev's for the rich and famous that have more money than brains.

It's not only about how fast the adoption for EVs is going to be, but the EU manufacturers also take into account the fact that the electric grid simply cannot be developed as fast. We're talking about huge investments and work force that just isn't going to happen by 2030.

EV’s enter the automotive fleet with 70% more carbon burden than an ICE vehicle and hence take up to 10 years to pay back their carbon burden. The same time window applied to projected battery life. So, they do not meet the primary requirement of reducing the carbon footprint.

Governments should NOT support car buyers with purchase premiums. As there are still only mid-priced and generally high-priced e-cars, only high earners and the rich are subsidized with everyone's taxes and the car industry is promoted. A redistribution of wealth from the low-income earners to the rich and the industry via taxes and subsidies. Instead, car manufacturers must also develop good and affordable e-cars with acceptable ranges, also for long distances. And the government must provide better support for the charging infrastructure and ensure that the jungle of tariffs is better standardized for consumers.

First the high coast of buying, next the high cost of replacing the batteries, then the cost of disposing said batteries, they are a environmental hazard. Then get over to powering them. Not enough charging station. the most important is that the infrastructure isn't there and even if it was there is not enough power produced to support even just 50% of drivers has them. Now on to making the batteries. the amount of land dug up and water that has to used and wasted to mine the components and they are rare and will go up very fast the more that they are used. This is a few reasons why and still plenty more!

EV batteries are destroying the planet . To manufacture each EV battery, you must process 25,000 pounds of brine for the lithium 30,000 pounds of ore for the cobalt 5,000 pounds of ore for the nickel, 25,000 pounds of ore for copper Diging up 500,000 pounds of the earth's crust For just - one - battery.

The problem isn’t specific to EV market, but rather our European de-industrialisation neoliberal policies. We moved our manufacturing away, decided education isn’t that important anymore, and China has the opposite policies - educating and industrialising. We need to change our broad policies to state investment, but we are so far from that in our brainwashing that I think it is too late.

Ответить
@ContactBaroqueHall

From recent ratings BYD cars are exceeding the European made EVs even on quality now, and it grows each year. Part of why we view Chinese products as low quality is because of selection process - when manufacture-shopping we are really cheap on price and go for the most ridiculously low unit cost, then view what we receive as representative of what China. When paying more we are starting to find that the China as low quality is just our own myth, born out of cheap selection and our own arrogance.

Decrease charging times from 20, 30 minutes to 10, 15 minutes and for a range of atleast 500 miles or more. If this was available in a large full size luxury automobile which tesla dosent even make, i would definitely buy one. This would bring back that momentum and give the American EV owners a real reason to boast the EV. But nope. With a long sitting time for charging, a short and shitty range, and all that bullshit computer tec which makes driving more complext than it really should be, keep the EV. At 3 minutes to fuel, (once a month)! For a range of 570 miles, a large full size luxury automobile, paid off at 41K. Simple to operate and more than a pleasure to drive, I'll keep my jaguar XJL and leave well enough alone....
