thanks for your great Videos Eric i;m learning the Blues and your videos are helping me very much.
ОтветитьYour strings are tripping me out.
ОтветитьNice method of teaching guitar. You could be a good school teacher, Eric. it's all about breaking it down into easy bites. Take it from an accomplished public teacher who loves to learn blues on the side. Keep it up!
Ответитьman, you are the man, i knew it was a simple thing to work the way trough the chords in a 12 bar blues, but as everybody takes it for granted i couldnt really understand what i could or couldnt do with them as i been playing for a very short time, and the way you explain it in these videos just makes a fool of other people videos out there, no wonder so many people saying thanks to you, big thanks from a spanish guy trying to learn and feel the blues, if you ever come to valencia i need to buy you a beer
Ответитьthank you so m uch for these. I bought several guitars in the goldilocks syndrome trying to find the right size. sold two bought two. sold one looked one. got an acoustic.
ОтветитьLoved the easy way you teach us how to walk the chords up and down. I have been complicating my life before tonight to do the same thing ;)
You're a gem, Eric. I really appreciate you being around.
Am glad I found your lessons thumbs up !
Ответитьawesome, huge help!!! love your videos
ОтветитьExcellent lessons
Ответитьomg you'r Amazing
ОтветитьThanks Eric...well explained and easy to follow. Much appreciated!
ОтветитьThe hardest part of this I think is the strumming of E7 B7 E7 after building tension in the G+E. Getting that timing down along with the chord changes is where practice is critical. For those just getting started, play it SLOW, over and over again, and focus on getting your left hand fingers to land in the right place each time. It'll become automatic after some dedicated practice, and it'll start to sound like music which is awesome :)
Also, what isn't shown clearly is the strumming itself. For A7 don't hit the top string (6), at least I don't. And for the G+E I like to just hit the bottom three strings, maybe nick the 4th string? Gives it a real sour sound that builds tension. Thoughts?
Awesome!
ОтветитьI believe that's easy too. Thanks for the help. Great series!
ОтветитьThis is great tutorial. Thank You!
Ответитьyou are awesome!! the best teacher!
ОтветитьVery good tutorial, you explaned it clear
ОтветитьAwesome lesson! So many of these you tube lesson instructors bog me down with music theory and this or that. You get to the lesson and clearly show how to play it. Thank you!!!!

ОтветитьBeatiful
ОтветитьI love him so much
ОтветитьBrilliant Eric, thank you. Finally, a lesson in playing the blues that really gets me started, without feeling the need to get too complicated. I've learned loads here, and as with all really good teachers, you've inspired, without trying to impress. In the midst of a very wet, windy and bleak English mid-winter, great to be able to play some Blues!
Ответитьgotta walk dogs now...lots of snow and cold up here...gonna tune you on when i get sorted out later on today...gonna take you right to the end for lessons...good stuff eric....very very dedicated player and songwriter...gonna see where you can take me...thanks bud....canada....i`ll stay in touch as we...you and I...move along....move on down the road !!!
ОтветитьJust brilliant! Totally demystifying the blues!
ОтветитьGreat lesson with no fluff. Thank you!
ОтветитьYes!!!! This was so much fun!
ОтветитьLove your 12 bar blues videos! Very well put together and explained, great for the beginner. I have a question regarding the B chord, I noticed sometimes it’s played with the pinky on the high E string, other times not, how does one know when to use which version of the B?
ОтветитьEric..taken me some time to come across your site but this is wonderful...something that actually sounds good when i play it....Eric you're the Mon...many thanks
ОтветитьThank you for directing me here. This is what I am looking for. In search of lots of really tasting things to get my fingers working again. I remember the basics of the old 12 bar blues (plus the Land of A7 and E7). Trying to work my way around phrasing again. Nice long scale runs.
ОтветитьFantastic tutorials Eric thank you very much from Australia 😀😀😀🎸
