Tu canal me motiva. No entiendo mucho de lo que dices pero me agradas. Me dan ganas de empezar a grabar mis progresos en la música o cualquier otra cosa que quiera aprender. Ojalá entender bien los consejos que das algún día, me tengo que proponer aprender inglés.

My goal is 2 books a week for 2022. I’m way ahead at 71 books so far! So many books, too little time! 😄

Love this! Last year was my first time reaching/passing a personal reading goal (of a modest 30), and some of these tips basically capture the essence of how I shifted my priorities in order to follow through on that and also keep up with all my other hobbies. Making reading or playing an instrument the default is key for me, too!

Love the callout that we already read tons of words every day and that we can relatively easily redirect that energy towards books. Never thought of it that way!

I would not mind you having referral links for the stuff you mention. Having an honest recommendation is always nice.

I really liked the non-zero days tip. I apply it with everything I care or that I am trying to improve.
I used to be a voracious reader but daily life got in the way, I set a very modest reading goal of 20 books this year but now that I got the hang of it I am aiming higher, 48 in 2024. The hardest part is giving up a boring book, but life is too short to suffer hehe Awesome video, thanks!

Hello Joel! I discovered your channel through piano progress video. But stayed because of very informative self improvement videos. Definitely reading the selfish gene! Also your channel is a good practice of English for me because I am not a native speaker.

I count short stories in my "books" of the year, so that they balance the 800-1000 page books.

Just don't have the attention span for fiction, need a steady supply of facts. But you've convinced me to give it another go. Would love to know what worked for you with every book. Would love even more for you to tell us how you spend almost every minute of your day for a week. Example: Wake up, private time 10 -15 minutes, made his oatmeal, had coffee, tea, smoothie or a protein shake. Now it's 7am, ate beans or avocado on toast, played with son, read 60 pages in 30 minutes. I know how my friends spend their time. A realistic day in the life of. Thank you. Subscribed.

I have the kindle app on my phone and while I am waiting for an appointment or to pick up my grandson at school, I read one of the books I have on the app. I also always have a physical book in my backpack and I have a kindle. Used to go to the library once a week while in school and read one of the books on the walk home. No internet or social media, cellphones in the 60's.

How do you avoid getting sidetracked reading multiple books at the same time? I get absorbed in both of them and never finish either

Thank you!! I ditch crappy books all the time = guilt-free!!!

Why do people complete/ rate 1-2⭐️ review books, and then complain?? 🤦🏼‍♀️ Stop it. 😂

I want a better quality of life, and I’m not going to waste my time reading something I dislike/hate. Next!! 📖📚📚

appreciate you stating fiction's importance. similarly to your observation about fiction, I was a voracious reader but exclusively of nonfiction, thinking it was the most efficient way to soak up as much insight as possible, but I struggled with retention (and consequently thought I was an idiot lol). I started reading fiction regularly (like 80/20 majority versus nonfiction) about a year ago, and have noticeably improved retention and I think gained more insight overall: analyzing fiction and relating themes and subtext with the experience and insights I sought from nonfiction worked my mental stamina more and forced me to conceptualize ideas instead of just consuming explicit observations from nonfiction.

just found your channel, btw, and i've been binging your vids lol. new fan!
