Here is the kicker most Utahns are allergic to cottonwood, and salt lake county is recommending removal of all cottonwoods since in storms branches break easily and has ended up killing someone in a park.

When I was a kid I lived in Oregon and there was an island in the middle of the Wallamet river or how ever you spell it I forgot. There was a bunch of that shit on the floor and I was like 12 and I light it on fire and it speaded thru the whole forest needless to say I hellafter words

I lit my neighbors deck/fence on fire while doing this shit.
We put it out (it wasn't that bad), but it would have burned their whole house down if we hadn't run around with buckets of pond water putting it out.
