Pretty solid review. While I'm not as big a fan of G1 Megatron as others are, the Takara engineers did a pretty good job of replicating his design

Gun robot

I never liked that Megatron turned into a gun. I always thought a tank was more fitting for him.

Really hope XTB is actually going forwards with Apollyon 2.0, MP-36 is really long in the tooth now and needs an update, especially co,pared to MP-44, 52 & 57

You're the first Transformers reviewer I ever watched. Watched all of your 2007 movie toy reviews, back when the movie was relatively new, in 2008. I can't remember when you originally uploaded them. I liked your calm, descriptive style and that the figure was actually at the center of the frame. I'm glad to have found you again and see that you've kept up the quality.

4th Party KOs fix its paint chipping by using scratch resistant paint, their silencer's tolerances was fixed too!!

Jasus if they transformed in the cartoon and the movies like in real life, we would be here awhile lol 😂

I really do like this figure, although I couldn't justify the price of the... official offering, so I purchased a KO for around $90. Amazing figure, and improved some aspects of the official copy. That being said, the KO manufacturers must not have been too concerned with plastic quality, as the unpainted grey plastic has become this awful yellow color, and it started doing so only a few months after I got it. It's a shame, but I guess some grey paint and the fact that I will NEVER TRANSFORM IT EVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE should fix it up.

Megatron's pistol from the movie looks slightly like his own gun mode in Shockwave colours minus the scope, stock and silencer add-ons.

This figure is the TEXTBOOK DEFINITION of "Plastic Origami". I'd be too nervous to even ATTEMPT to transform him.

Recently, Robosen in the US made a auto-converting Megatron robot in partnership with Hasbro. Also, his alternative mode is a tank.

Correction: The G1 toy’s “chest hairs” are on a sticker. The way I worded it makes it seem like they were etched onto the chest itself.

Ah well.
