I was in Kyoto, Japan last year and the shop that I went to was playing this song. Made me sorta sentimental and glad
ОтветитьNope. You edited the sound in. Loser.
ОтветитьA horse with no name - America but its playing in a desert
ОтветитьLol, I'm 51, I was probably there, this I love.
ОтветитьOMG takes me back to my childhood in the 80s, going to a mall which im sure had this song playing at one point! Going to Sam Goody Lol
ОтветитьOkay, everyone is like "omg this song and these feelings I'm experiencing" like what? Do you guys know the sad meaning behind this song? Dont get me wrong, great rhythm but the lyrics are sad. Everybody wants to rule the world was written during war time and how no one wanted peace but everyone wanted to rule. Originally named "everybody wants to go to war". Super important meaning that is supposed to be reflected on how bad times were around the world.
Ответитьthis is a thing...?
ОтветитьLooks like heaven to me
ОтветитьThis has to be the Highland Mall in Austin, isn’t it?
Nevermind, there wasn’t a Sears there.
I keep feeling like I need to move closer to hear better
Ответитьi could see this playing in the mall from escape from tarkov
ОтветитьCan we get some Elton John songs in this playlist?
ОтветитьI've seen other videos like this. Is it supposed to bring back some kind of memories of walking through the mall? Not sure why playing songs that sound like they're from a cassette with an empty mall as a background is a thing
Ответитьthere used to be this mall near my house that everyone would go to it was constantly full of people no matter what time of day for years. Then one day the mall across town opened up a target and everyone gradually migrated to that one, leaving that center in the dust. Towards the end of it's closing my parents and I went to this mall to wander around, all that was left of it was a panda express and a couple of stores getting ready to close. It was so surreal to be in, the shops all had those bars over their windows, the coin rides in the center had their slots taped over, the fountain pathetically sputtered as the plastic-y indoor plants draped over once crowded benches. It was the only time I've ever heard my own footsteps in a mall and my god it was terrifying.
ОтветитьOnce again, another photograph of an empty mall. And people commenting think it's an actual video recording just because the title IMPLIES it might be a video versus a still shot. What's wrong with people's minds?: They're so gullible!
ОтветитьLooks like the mall from Shazam
Ответитьfeels like the end credits for malls
Ответитьit sounds like it’s almost waiting for someone to come in the mall and it’s eerie and i love it
Ответитьthis sounds like in a show someone is listening to music when the camera is facing them and another person is like standing there awkwardly waiting for them to take out their headphones
ОтветитьI feel like I’m locking up a mall and this song is playing
Ответитьmurderer in the mall trying to find me
me: listening to Tears For Fears, Everybody Wants To Rule The World off of my phone and is dancing
Dead rising vibes
ОтветитьI can imagine myself getting murdered to this track
ОтветитьSears
god remember that place way back when?
Put this song while your sleeping. You might dream about being in a mall/store/e.t.c.
ОтветитьThe end of an era.

ОтветитьJohn Hughes, how can I thank YOU ENOUGH??!
ОтветитьDoes anybody know what mall this is? The photo link isn’t working.
Ответитьitd be a fun date idea to go to an empty shopping centre and blast this song and just dance
ОтветитьI'm In Some Black And White Shorts It's Like The Late 80s and early 90s When Mario World Happened And Animaniacs Was Popular.
ОтветитьFor some reason this feels right
ОтветитьThis almost makes me want to cry. It’s just sad as to what is happening to the retail industry. It’s all because of a thing called the internet. Once Amazon came along, that totally changed the retail industry, and everyone started shopping online. When that happens, retailers go into bankruptcy and close. A lot of the old names like Sears and JCPenney are going under because of the internet, and they can’t keep up with the times. Everything is higher end things like Michael Kors as an example. Everyone wants to spend a lot of money on a purse at one of those stores, when you can get the same one at Kohl’s for much cheaper.
ОтветитьIdk why this made me cry
ОтветитьVrchat mall starter pack
ОтветитьBasically the mall in my town.
ОтветитьWhat mall is this?
ОтветитьI've been to that Sears lol
Ответитьmoment of silence for the people who cant find this
ОтветитьThis is sad. There are so many past times that newer generations will probably never ever experience. Movie theaters, shopping malls and video rental stores.
ОтветитьPOV:
It is November, 1989.
You're a member of the Washington National Guard, scavenging desperately for supplies - food, warm clothing, anything.
Your scavenging team arrives at an abandoned shopping center south of Seattle. Every store is vacant, everything perfect. The workers ran away before the center opened that fateful morning. Because the music system automatically repeats tapes from a bank of mixed music cassettes, the songs still play in the empty mall.
You stand there for a moment, and it's like the Soviets aren't even there. That Seattle was never invaded. None of your friends are dead. It's a peaceful moment of reflection. Instead of calling your squadmates, you're struck by the song that plays, and what it means, to a World in Conflict.
I used to go to this mall all the time as a kid and it was dead back then. This was the Rhode Island Mall in Warwick. Now it's a Planet Fitness. So many memories, the Toy Vault where I bought a used Nintendo 64 one summer, the DMV where my Mom took me to update her license. There were maybe 7 stores open in total, the rest were all closed. I still can see the painting they had on the wall near the entrance of the Burning of the Gaspee.
