I hear this often but what share of the price of machine parts and autos are from labor costs? German exports do not tend to be items like clothing where labor is a major portion of the cost of production.

Yes thats why every fifth child in Germany doesn't have enough meals a day. Truly something to be proud of as the "third biggest economy in the world". We let our car billionaires govern us and we just suck it up like good soldiers. Its ridiculous, i hate it. I've been told by multiple people "rather poor in Spain or Italy than rich in a German speaking country" and the longer i live here, the more i feel it's true. The majority will be poor plebs soon anyway, so might as well live in a country with good culture and a sense of community, as it makes focusing on important things and living a not luxurious life much easier and still enjoyable versus a country that shoots themselves in the foot and then blames everyone and anything else but themselves and will go full fascist again. I'll always feel German but people are just so stupid

Aren't you overlooking labor productivity? This is the long-term driver of wages. German labor productivity growth has been abysmal.
