This panel discussion was co-hosted by Northeastern University—Vancouver and the University of Victoria. This is the first in a series of conversations about the future of our Cascadia region.
As we reboot economies all over the world, we have a chance to revisit some of the tools and metrics used to guide policymakers, investors, and businesses in decision-making. Is GDP threatening our planet, and how are alternatives, like doughnut economics, really different? How do these relate to the importance of environmental monitoring and clean energy? What kinds of careers and opportunities align with sustainability, and what role could technology play?
