So I just only started seeing the Sephiroth comments when seeing the trailer for Mario & Luigi: Brothership and it seems the meme has been going for a while. Would anyone be able to enlighten me of its origins please?

I once dreamed of a Mario & Luigi game where Mario and Luigi have to stop Ingrid Newkirk (The leader of PeTA) and in the confrontation against "Not a nugget" at first it was a normal (boss) battle and then when "Not a nugget" became a giant (like what was supposed to be his final smash) Luigi becomes a giant and a battle of giants begins.

What i love about these fights is Luigi is always scared, but when you face Bowser in this way, he's confident.

At that point he did it so many times he knows he can win

You know, as much as I truly love this, I don’t like these special battles all too much. The giant and papercraft battles. They just take away from the regular battles.. I know for me it made the final bowser fight in this game less special.. But, it does seem like there might not be any in Brothership.

Brothership might be the first M&L game to not have have some form of Giant battles since partners in time.

i wish they add this to Pokemon Sword and Shield dynamax battles

What I love is how the final iteration of this battle is against BOWSER! Not only is Luigi proving he could take him on, but Bowser was the guy who did these battles during Inside Story.


You're not just fighting Bowser, you are basically fighting the guy who INVENTED this battle style series-wise.

I might be the only one with this opinion, but drillmaster (i think was his name) is my favorite giant battle. I love all the different forms he uses going from a normal mech to a hovercraft to a small car. Not to mention the background looking stunning. I also love how he uses the environment to his advantage and creates small dust storms or large dust storms to attack luigi with. I also enjoy how luigi can use these dust storms to his advantage when drillmaster knocks one into the background. However, that being said, the tutorial is a bit pandering, BUT you can just skip it, so that's even better. Overall my favorite giant fight even if he's incredibly easy.

Imagine if mario and luigi had an attack where luigi would sleep and mario would hamer the enemy into dreamland so mario can use luigi powers for like 2 moves

set it to 1.25x speed for a faster paced giant battle
