Ever since he’s shown Sukuna his destructive power “summoning mahoraga” he’s been his target all along. Sukuna took megumis body and only caused havoc so it’s only fair Megumi comes back to become Sukunas replacement in the current era after being responsible for all the death that has transpired and also being his vessel.

I think the 10 shadows got rest after sukuna reincarnated to his original form. Plot wise it makes sense so megumi can get his shadows back when he’s brought back

The problem with binding vows is that they have no limitation to use. That's why every time a binding vow like this is used as consecutively as it has been, it'll feel and end up as an ass pull. Due to no limits as to how many times it can be used or something among those lines, it causes these problems in terms of writing.
