What happened to iOS 19-25?!

Control center gets basically unusable with a kind of ghost-mode. Two layers of icons in front of each other... I hope that's not the final word on it.

iOS 26 is a step waaay backwards in design aesthetic. It looks worse than Windows Vista - and a lot like WinAmp from 1999. It's just ugly, and is following Apple's death spiral. We live in an age where our eye desires simplistic elements, not transparencies and light shifting with the accelerometer in your phone. I installed iOS 26 and after 48 hours I had to back to go back to 18.5. Not because of bugs, but I couldn't look at the cheesy design "liquid glass" aesthetic. It's almost as bad as skeuomorphic icons. If Apple doesn't change this, I'll go to Android.

I'll wait until I have it on my phone and try to use it for a bit, but I am feeling like there are going to be some legibility issues in some cases where you have white text on top of a glass background

On first impressions, I really didn't like this new design
But now that I've seen it a bit more it's actually pretty nice !
The only thing I really hope Apple does is improve readability. As it currently stands a lot of the text and icons are hard to make out (e.g. tab in Music app). I also hope they do something with the empty space beside the shutter button in Camera (why not move buttons for flash and other options down there for ex, where it is easy to reach ?)
And please, PLEASE do something about that nasty Control Centre
