I use to fish the creeks for scrap metal. There are too many Hobo camps these days along the banks.

You need to delete the term archeology from your channels name. Archeology is a science and there's nothing scientific about youstomping through the environment with your dreadful companion raking trash and causing natural habitat erosion.

Brandon, man, you need to invest in a metal detector. Double your fun while covering the same ground! Might even find some coins or other metal objects like belt buckles, uniform buttons, etc.

Glad to find mudlarkers in the U.S.! I don't have any old coal mines near me, but there are a couple of steel mills along a river that were in operation from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. I've found some good things near them—well, "good" to me. My husband thinks I'm a lunatic for picking up "trash." But he is sweet enough to let me display my finds in the living room!

What was the name of the fossil you found at start? Is a “horse tail” just a name and not literally a horse tail? Just not familiar with these.
