Johnny Walker's Life with Sar Jo Tera Chakraye, Old Bollywood Hindi Songs in Colour

Badruddin Jamaluddin Kazi, commonly known as Johnny Walker, a luminary Indian thespian, contributed his acting talent to approximately 300 films. His expertise lay in humorous characterizations, particularly, being typecast as an ill-fated drunkard.

In his early days, Kazi was born in Indore, British India (present-day Madhya Pradesh, India), where he was one of twelve siblings, born to a weaving teacher. His birth year is widely believed to be around 1924. When his father's job was taken away from him, his family relocated to Mumbai, where Kazi obtained a job as a conductor with Bombay Electric Supply & Transport (BEST). He voluntarily amused his commuters through his witty bus stop announcements, uncanny impersonations, and sleight of hand.

As a juvenile, Kazi aspired to become a part of the movie industry, looking up to Noor Mohammed Charlie while practicing stunts he saw on the big screen. The turning point in his career was when Balraj Sahni, an actor, encountered Kazi and introduced him to actor and director Guru Dutt, without the latter's knowledge, following Kazi's amusing performance.

Johnny Walker married Noorjahan, the sister of Indian actress Shakila, despite her family's opposition. They were blessed with three daughters and three sons, one of whom is the actor Nasirr Khan. Since Kazi regretted having left school in sixth grade, he sent his sons to the US to pursue their education.

Ironically, despite frequently portraying the roles of a drunkard, Johnny Walker abstained from alcohol, claiming that he had never tasted it in his life. He passed away on 29 July 2003 after a period of illness.
