Each year, we're thrilled to have our graduating master's students present their Science Writing theses. 2020 was a little different, of course. Circumstances obliged us to push back the presentations until just after the class of 2020 had in fact become alumni, and all of the presentations needed to be virtual. That said, students still produced some extraordinary work.
The run-of-show was as is follows, with start times in parentheses should you like to find a specific speaker:
- Rachel Fritts: "Plague on the Prairie: the Fight to Save Black-Footed Ferrets from the West’s Most Insidious Disease" (02:25)
- Ashley Belanger: "Where the Desert Ghost Roams" (26:20)
- Kate Petersen: "Aliens Inferred" (44:26)
- Jessie Hendricks: "A Biography of the Second" (1:02:43)
- Fernanda de Araujo Ferriera: "Unravelling the High Heel" (1:18:00)
- Lucy Jakub: "Sea of Change" (1:32:52)
