You Americans don’t seem to realize that this pipeline is designed to bring our oil to the gulf coast for shipping to overseas markets not for use in America and certainly not while trump is threatening tariffs and our sovereignty.

Any new pipelines in Canada should go to export markets overseas, not the US. Too bad.

That is because he pissed off the Mexicans who are looking to other markets. The same goes with Canada. Why would Canada increase trade with the US when it's so unfair that her is imposing tariffs of 25% Trumo loves tariffs. You sighn a deal with him then next week he is wanting to apply tariffs again. First, the keystone's owners are not going to put a dime into restarting this pipeline because of your governments on again off again approval history.
Second, the oil that would have gone through the pipeline is already going to export on the west coast through the Trans Mountain pipeline.
Third, unless you start paying world price (instead of the deeply discounted price you get our oil at now) we will ship only what we have to in order to fill current contracts.
Fourth, all of the state and local permits that were approved for this project have expired, even if Trump ramrods through permits at the federal level, you still have the State and local permits, and Native American permits to obtain...good luck with that!
I suppose you could always buy the pipeline and build it yourself, but then what are you going to pump through it?

Canada instead should build pipeline going east and west to sell more energy to Europe and Asia so Canada would be less dependent on the US
