I have this set up. I have looked all over to find why my laser will not connect lines. Squares, circles, triangles. Doesn't matter what shape. And all lines are very shaky.
Do you have a suggestion as to find calibration settings?

What's the lifespan of a diode vs. CO2 laser?

I love my D1. Ordered air assist and 20 watt module to go along with it.

Nice enclosure 👍, would be nice if you added a IR (fire) detector with alarm. Perhaps a fire retarding material on the inside. It's MDF after all, so if the laser ignites the target it doesnt end up igniting the MDF before you can catch it.

You gotta get through several minutes of monologue before getting to any valuable info in this video.

Can I cut real leather with this?

Is it expensive to operate as far as electricity costs? What is the life expectancy of the laser?
