We need another BTF episode now please
ОтветитьShould go into comedy.
ОтветитьJust dont drink or drug your way to it. Serving in a church is a more sustainable form of happiness when you find the niche.
ОтветитьPretty sure there's a psychological term for people who actually enjoy killing other human beings. My dad served two combat tours in Nam doing nasty stuff behind enemy lines as a designated marksman. He called his pension, after 26-years of service (ret. E9), "stinking blood money" and I never once heard him talk about how much fun it was to kill. Quite the contrary, actually. I was also one of those "humorous" failed relationships he had, because he thought he was too tough to get help for his PTSD. He welcomed death and he made me send him there. Fun? Not for me, either.
ОтветитьI hope Tony becomes a regular guest
ОтветитьHe does in Episode 191 another great episode.
ОтветитьPoliticians so quick to send us to war then close the door on us when we return
ОтветитьJocko run for president!!!
ОтветитьDo these guys actually enjoy blowing peoples brains out and seeing there buddies brains on the wall? Have they just never really experienced the horrors of war? My understanding all my life has been that everyone who truly experiences war hates it and or is ruined by it. Are there really a significant amount of soldiers who love the gore and the bloodshed?
ОтветитьA warrior feels most needed on the battle field with his brothers. The fact is civil society has no place for the warrior at present. I truly believe that a seasoned warriors position in civil society is Politics and policy making as they have been at the business end of those decisions and know the weight and cost of every choice made on the political arena. The least qualified to hold any political position would be a lawyer as they are designed to manipulate towards personal agendas only. They often care little, if not at all for those who have to carry out the policies they have enacted.
ОтветитьTony is still in?!
ОтветитьThis is one of the manliest titles to a video that I have ever seen in my life
ОтветитьTony, don't be afraid of getting help when you know you need it.
ОтветитьI myself question why my plans as a kid was to jump out of airplanes and shoot people. The more I have shot, the more I question I was here to do this, these kids on the other side were forced to die.
ОтветитьMy boy is still ready to get some. But for real real
ОтветитьMan I love ❤️ this so much
ОтветитьJocko answers this in Becoming an Eminently Qualified Human. Find the meaning in what you are doing now. If you cannot find meaning, then go do something else.
ОтветитьPriceless
Ответитьhomie needs to play some siege and get his fix
ОтветитьHow to deal with N-word fatigue?
ОтветитьWith every new jocko podcast I listen to I learn even more and more about just what all and how much men like these sacrifice for us civilians safety & freedom, on and off the battlefield. Its an incredible debt that can never be repayed. Thx everyone.
ОтветитьWhen I thank people for their service, I'm not thanking them for what job they did, I'm thanking them for voluntarily accepting all of the responsibilities, hardships & the incredible risk that exists both on & off the battlefield thats accompanied with doing that job.
ОтветитьWhen my minimal training watchstanding ass gets called a hero by a Navy SEAL 🤯
ОтветитьViolence in smaller doses in controlled environments, jiu-jitsu and boxing helps.
ОтветитьNo shit, try bull riding. Crazy fun and intense rush.
ОтветитьHeisenburg to skylar: I did it because I liked it
ОтветитьTell us how you REALLY feel Tony. LOL
ОтветитьThis should have more views.
ОтветитьHad a old Sgt Major explain war likes this. I'd rather kill bad guys in thier country, then wait for bad guys come to America to be killed.
ОтветитьTHE HIGH...
ОтветитьI loved when I was reading Kevin Lacz's book and he quoted his chief petty officer Tony, and I could actually hear BTF Tony's voice as I read the page, thanks to this podcast. Sometimes life just gives you little Easter eggs like that.
ОтветитьJack Reacher : There are four types of people who join the military. For some, it's a family trade. Others are patriots, eager to serve. Next, you have those who just need a job. Than there's the kind who want a legal means of killing other people.
ОтветитьTony saying getting into firefights is fun...it’s not. It’s fun when you’re a heavily trained, heavily armed soldier with backup and artillery ready at the push of a button and you’re fighting untrained fighters using recycled Soviet era AKs. Tell that to soldiers during WWII storming the beaches of Normandy or fighting in the Ardennes forest that getting into firefights is fun. Fighting is only fun when you’re the bigger, stronger guy. But when you’re fighting someone your size or stronger it’s not fun, it’s painful.
ОтветитьDead on
Turning down leave to stay w/ the platoon.
still kind of twisted to think invading countries and killing sons is fun..
ОтветитьDude no joke Tony is insane haha. Such a good guy to listen to talk. Really enjoyed this episode
ОтветитьLove it all!
ОтветитьISIS is on our side in Syria. We also arm them...so, maybe that's why?
ОтветитьMaybe you heroes should come home and keep an eye on our freedoms and when our freedoms are being trampled we will rely on you to help us restore them
ОтветитьWe need every single SF guy to protect us all enemies foreign and domestic especially domestic in these days I know we can count on them when they start to trample our freedom
ОтветитьBeing a firefighter is kinda close, but nothing will ever replace the smell of burnt powder and absolute terror, and adrenaline dumping high you felt in a gunfight.
Sitting there at night missing gun fights, the hell is wrong with me lol. (Allot obviously hahahaha)
Damn now I want to know what it’s like to get shot out and shoot people
Ответитьman poor guy sounds depressed. His world was created for him and he cannot create one for himself now
ОтветитьI feel the same when people thank me for my service. I was a Russian linguist in the USN the last 11 years of the Cold War. I had so much fun I should have been paying the Navy. Chasing the Rooskies all over the Pacific was awesome. No nine to five job comes even remotely close.
ОтветитьHey Tony! Where is my money?
ОтветитьHow to deal with the war high: you don’t
ОтветитьTony, I agree. I don't know why we didn't go over and end what you guys fought for. I know war and conflicts are what drivees our economy to some of our "elected" officials, but the American military is the most BAD ASS in the world and we shouldn't be stringing this stuff along!!! Smoke Em!
ОтветитьYou both are amazing
Ответить
