Very best remake rpg, story mode hp 1 never died & quest marking is best

The ONLY THING keeping me from buying this...I just wanna see my party's actions carried out, not a 1st person view of it...
I can understand in the original, but in a HD/2D remake they should DEFINITELY have at LEAST had an option to pick between the 2....smh

All the sheep in the comments defending this games censorship clearly don't remember what was done to Sailor Moon and are just going to have to cope with the fact that this game will loose sales which means there will be less Dragon Quest games to receive US releases in the future, like when the Sailor Moon was pulled from all American distribution for years, and like with Sailor Moon if you can't handle uncensored Dragon Quest then you don't deserve more Dragon Quest.

Never played the original but I'm curious, what exactly is being censored?

Why don’t simply make a version for normal people and a censored one? Something you can choose at the start of your campaign. Boom, problem solved. You welcome, this will allow you to avoid missing so much money in sales, most gamers don’t like censorship and ign don’t represent this community.

Let's not forget that this remake removes the character gender and replaced it with "Type A" and "Type B" to not be offensive

This should’ve been a full on 3D open world game. The Octopath Traveler 2D vision is such an over burn. Enough already.

They might’ve censored the game after the death of the creator. But still core gameplay intact. Love the idea of the auto battler, just so it’s not as grindy as the original

Censorship happened in DQ8 with Jessica’s outfits and has been happening. The crosses have always been tridents in DQ. Like this is nothing new to not support actual JRPGs bc of censorship is ridiculous. This is what actual RPG fans have been waiting for…new Dragon Quest games
