ОтветитьCool
ОтветитьEnjoyed watching you paint this. I followed Ian's work when I was on Instagram and really loved his creativity.
ОтветитьAwesome!
ОтветитьGreat sketching and watercolor 😊
ОтветитьI love the old rustic and this type of inventive stuff. I watched your video on the old barns and buildings where you said they were popular in the 70s. I didn't know they had gone out of popularity. I was graduating High School in late 70s.
Ответитьfantastenjoyed this very much
ОтветитьLovely. Was reminded of Peter Sheeler.
I'm illustrating a bunch of birds for a friend's book. Your tip about balancing rendering is one to remember. I tend to over render in both the ink and paint phases. Going to dial back on one or the other (depending on the subject). Thanks for the tip. Been wondering for a while now why some birds turn out well, when others don't and I think you've solved it 😆 thanks.
I started doing WC about 4 or 5 years ago and learned mostly through your channel. Now it's one of my favourite mediums! Thanks, Steve.
I came for the lovable wonky buildings cause who doesn't want to do that? After years in engineering design, it is so hard to just let it go. I stayed for the rocks. Incredible. Another thing I struggle to randomize but you make it look so easy! I call my rock piles cannonballs and guinea pigs.
ОтветитьI like it when you introduce other artists techniques. Have you considered a video on studying/ copying the masters? Whatever you try, it always is super interesting and easy to understand.
ОтветитьThis is just wonderful, a pure joy to watch the process!
ОтветитьEvery time the world seems to go crazy I know I can watch you or Smoothie77 and block it all out. Thanks for sharing I love this and all your spontaneous work.
ОтветитьHelp! I can't find your link for the Levinson (sp) brush. Your whimsical painting is wonderful!! Thank you!
ОтветитьMore..more!! My favorite artist for this style is Ian Fennelly…
ОтветитьFantastic! 🙏🏻❤️
ОтветитьI think I got scanned. I was told I won your contest.Thinking I have. I gave my phone number, and my address. They keep putting off what I won. Then they said they were going to teach me how to paint a bird. . Then come and pain my house. Then I knew I didn't win. That was the sad part. The reason I am telling you. If this happen to me. It can happen to others.
ОтветитьSteve, I love, Love, LOVE this technique you do and have been studying and practicing! Thanks so much for sharing your talent and the commentary is great too!
Best, chris
That looks really cool 😎👍🏻
ОтветитьCan't wait to see the new Hahnemuhle cotton sketchbook!!! WOOOOOOO
Ответитьdang that reminds me of some of the old mining buildings that were in death valley in the 50s & 60s, not sure if anything is still left of them. after my dad found out that charles manson & his murderous bunch lived there he didn't want to take us out there anymore, even moved the family up north to get away from the craziness. sure miss death valley though, we used to spend almost every weekend & many holiday weeks out there growing up. thanks for the memory jolt, beautiful work!
ОтветитьThis was great! So much fun! More!
ОтветитьAwesome talent! Thank you for sharing this with us
ОтветитьSimple lines, wash colors, and yet so much detail & interest going on in the painting. I am always fascinated by watching your composition come to being.
Ответить😁🖋❣️
ОтветитьLove ink & watercolor - love doing it & love how it looks! It IS FUN - thank you for sharing!
ОтветитьI love this art work. It is a reminder of Arthur Rackham and all of his fairy tale illustrations. Your work is fun to observe and learn from.
ОтветитьAs always... beautiful , creative and informative thank you
ОтветитьAwesomeness
ОтветитьCould you link to Ian's channel or website please?
ОтветитьReally enjoyed that. You have such a lovely touch in your art.
ОтветитьI love doing old barns and other rustic buildings in pen and ink and wash, so I’m very interested in trying this. Lots of room for imagination.
ОтветитьOne of my favorite techniques as well!
ОтветитьThis was great, really enjoyed seeing YOU enjoy doing this. Ian has great artwork and is inspiring. Thank you for sharing this
ОтветитьI love line & wash. I created a shark recently using Derwent Inktense pencils for the wash areas. It's probably the best thing I've done. It's included in a 3 x 5 cotton hot press sketchbook that I am filling with sea creature studies. Have you ever used the Derwent Inktense line?
ОтветитьLoved this demonstration! What kind of paper are you using, please?
ОтветитьLove it!
ОтветитьLove Ian McQue been following for years. So I love what you're doing here.
ОтветитьYour free-and-easy eloquence compliments your great teaching skills. You always seem to pick the perfect adjective or verb to make your point.
ОтветитьReally fun!!! What a happy painting 😊
ОтветитьThank you for a trip on the wild & funny side of watercolor! Helps to remind me I'm watercoloring to have fun... no rules... try joyful 😊 art! (I'm a Kristy Rice fan) I always wait for your treasure at the end. With gratitude from a newbie California Gramma ❤
Ответить🙏🌊🔱🌪️🌪️🌪️
ОтветитьThanks, Steve. I love how imaginative this is! In the upper right corner rocks I see that prospector's face pointed toward the sky. See it?
ОтветитьPretty cool…like this concept!
ОтветитьLovely project. I make similar sketches the other way round though. I paint with the watercolours over the pencil lines and then I ink the lines. This way I don't have to worry if the ink is waterproof or not.
ОтветитьMore of this please.
ОтветитьWonderful painting Steve! I just love your line and wash videos.
ОтветитьI really enjoyed this steve and found it inspiring. I wanted to know more of your thoughts on the indigraph pen. I have been playing with the idea of buying one and not really sure.
ОтветитьWonderful video…I love this style and will definitely check out Ian McQue.
ОтветитьWild!!!!!
ОтветитьI absolutely love this rendering. It puts me in mine of a Enzo Baldoni western movie. Or a SW mine claim. I really like sketching old buildings barns churches so this really opened my eyes.
Thank you once again for sharing.
